Nothing beats the value and trajectory of the Weatherby 7mm Rem Mag in the long range!

Mine is finally arriving today! So excited to head to the range and get familiar with her. Great video and I love your final words. Not often to hear positivity like that in today’s world.

i was on a Himalayan Thar (pronouncedTar) hunt in Fiordland New Zealand in the mid 70’s with a visiting American hunter who had a Weatherby mk v in 7mm. One hell of a good looking rifle in walnut….on top of that he had a Redfield wide view Accutrac scope in 3x9…beautiful setup and i remember it so well coz the rifle we (my dad and i) had was an old faithful Lee Enfield 303 no scope..i couldn’t take my eyes off this rifle it looked amazing. Anyways i remember the shot he took on this Thar..i thought no way…firing upwards on a 60 degree angle on this goat..which is what a Thar is…poked its head over this crag…bang…down it come…you had to be there…the most awesome shot and shooter i have ever seen. Years later when i went back there with a laser range finder…(which hadn’t been invented in the 70’s) i went back to the exact same spot and pinged it…551 metres at 55 degrees…i’ll never forget that day..The American..or that rifle…one of the standout things you remember from boyhood

I have an older Vanguard 7mm rem mag with a Leopold VX2 3-9x40 with Burris mount and rings. Very accurate. I shoot Federal 150gr. Vital Shok. I've taken well over 30 whitetail with it over the past 20 years.

Great choice with both make and calibre. I am a fan of Weatherby and Browning rifles and 7mm RM is my go to round.

I enjoyed your review very much. I will try the limbsaver harmonic device. Thank you. I think the 110gr bullets are a good idea for whitetail deer.

Hey, Jesus is King! Great video. Another cool thing about Weatherby is the owner/president Adam Weatherby is a Christain. At one time he was a full time pastor. I think he's still is a part time pastor of a church plant he was a part of. And of course, an American company. I'd like to some day get the compact Vangaurd in 308. Be safe

The 7mm Rem Mag is my absolute favorite chambering. I have a Vanguard S1 that I have shot 1/4 MOA with at 100 yards. Pretty crazy, I got lucky. Love this round, but in heavier projectiles you really need a faster twist barrel. I'm curious about Wildcats for the 7mm (.284) like the 7mm Allen mag. .338 Lapua case necked down to .284......There's a company that makes a bullet at 208 grains and a claimed G7 B.C. of .945!!! At 3,300 to 3,400 fps, that's a monster.

I have this exact rifle. I just bought it 2 months ago and will be using it in 2 weeks for whitetail deer up here in Canada. It's shooting under an inch with 150 grain Federal soft points.

I got a vangaurd badlands 7 mag a couple months ago. Bad timing for reloading components but I'll be ready for sure when things settle down and I can start reloading for it. I'm old school so I think 175 gr partitions for elk around here. I hope I'll be as happy with mine as you are with yours. Thanks for the good video.

Do you reload? You can cut down ammunition cost alot! If you dont plan on reloading i would be intrested in your spent brass if youd like to get rid of it!

Totally agree with you about the choice of 7mm Mag; I would think a well trained hunter can down any North American beast at 500 yards with that caliber.

Watching this in 2022, if you held to all that ammo, now you are a millionaire!
