As a long time Weatherby fan who exclusively shoots Weatherby rifles, this is the best and most exciting product release in the firearm space I have ever seen. I can't wait to get one.

Great to see all the different cartridge offerings. Definitely will give the 307 serious consideration after the initial 6 month launch. I waited 6 months for a Backcountry in .280AI then chose another rifle. I always root for Weatherby but because of limited cartridge offerings and slow twist rates, I have only purchased 2 and did not keep them long like most other rifles. I shoot, workup a load or two, hunt with them for a season or two, then move to the next. Thanks and hopefully I will have the opportunity to own,load, and hunt with the 307.

I own a vanguard weather guard bronze and its insanely accurate. Couldn't be happier. Hope 🙏 there is sum more people out there running the vanguard.

Love the idea of the new action. It only makes sense to make an action that has built in industry support with after market options! I will be building a 307 and it will be my first Weatherby!

Great idea love it. Got my first Weatherby last month 257 mag. Love it. Looking to get a 300 Weatherby eventually.

Prefit barrels? Swapping bolt face? "Lego modularity" is popping in a new accurate barrel when one burns out, or swapping caliber for a hunt or target work.

Seems to be a damn fine idea. Having one of each in the safe will offer us 3 different paths to success while remaining within the Weatherby Family. Especially since an actual 700 made after the 1970’ isn’t what it once was.

Great Vlog but I believe the company is going the wrong way with the 307. When companies diversify their production too much people don’t know what the company is or makes. Stick to your “niche”! Mark V top of the line and Vanguard affordable line, KISS. Good Luck!

Given the intent for a customizable action in the 700 format, “Lego bolts” if you will, I would loved to have seen a shoulder so that a prefit Proof Research barrel could be easily installed. Good gunsmith’s are getting harder to find and are not cheap. This would have been an X hit!

I like the idea of this. The only thing that made me scratch my head is the twist rates on the 243 and 240 are 1-7.5 which is awesome. But everything else is traditional twist rates. A 257 weatherby with a 1-8 twist would sell like hot cakes with the 25 caliber heavy for caliber bullets coming out. Other than that great job guys!

I cut teeth on the 700. I will buy one in 7mm-08 if ya make one.

Quality and engineering with a very accurate, customizable and well supported platform, keeping American workers employed. Supporting the North American economy…….adding another product to a proud line……many professional users of the original 700 platform, who will be looking to replace their well worn equipment with a cost effective, high quality familiar unit……seems to be a pretty heads up and ballsy move on Weatherby’s part. Those who think Roy would be disappointed, likely weren’t around when he was making very distinctive rifles on Mauser actions. His Mark 5 action is strong and beautiful. For those who can afford it, and have always wanted one, the 307 likely will stay off of their radar. This one brings manufacturing back to the US, vs the Vanguard, which some have avoided because it’s made by Howa, off shore. Seems pretty darn legit, to me.

The fact that you haven't mentioned prefits tells me you aren't holding tolerances tight enough for buyers to swap out barrels without waiting for a gunsmith to fit a new barrel. That is a major fail.

My ideal 307 would been...... 700 footprint, keep the 6-9 lug, and 50-60 degree bolt.......Practically a MarkV with 700 print..... I woulda been fine with that, slightly different.... But with a 2lug, 90degree, sorry, I rather get a different proven action... There's so much 2 lug 90degree 700print out there to choose from...... 307, I think is a Failure. Took too long to enter the 700footprint game. Sorry.
