The Nieuport XVII (Late Version) by Copper State Models is a beautiful scale model kit in 1/32. If you want to see it being built step-by-step with cringy commentary and subpar camera work - look no further.
This is the third part of a 4-part series and in this part we are mainly focussing on the weathering and rigging. Some subassemblies will also be tackled. The last part will feature the pilot figurines, and a scenic base so stay tuned and subscribe.

@patrickehresmann2404
@patrickehresmann2404 Жыл бұрын
For some reason, WW1 French aircraft were ignored by Wingnut wings? This reason has a name. It is called French bashing. A certain propaganda remains in the Anglosaxon world that only them fought the Germans during both world wars. The truth is quite different. Just compare death toll numbers. Besides, the heart of these wars did not take place on Anglosaxon ground, which infrastructures were little affected, compared to France.

Rotary engines slung caster oil all over the belly and lower surface of the wing. And yes it cam loosen you up. old rhinebeck aerodrome in up state NY has WW1 aircraft they fly in a vaudvill era air show. You can see Fokkers Sopwiths Nieuports albatrosses. Most with original engines.

you sir, must have the patience of a saint with all that ringing and the fiddley turn buckles, it really shows well in the finished model as well, it's absolutely stunning! For the next subject why not mix it up a bit but within the same ballpark? maybe a 'pusher' type aircraft like the Airco DH2 or the Vickers FB5 if the kits actually exist that is, I'm not too sure...

@TheAlleyman 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, no worries the shroud is around the barrel. There are two "barrel-like" extensions coming from the cooling jacket (the lower one being the barrel itself). You can see it quite clearly in the second part of the video series when I am painting the gun.
