Part 3 of my exhaustive series detailing the progress of a fine wool scarf on the drawloom. In this installment, we distribute the leashes onto their pattern shafts; attach the single-unit drawcords; and finish constructing the loom's Myrehed console in preparation for getting down to the business of weaving.

I am sure you have a reason, but I have to ask. at time count 18:44 you are separating sets of leashes from the original bar to an intermediate bar and then to the final spot where they will hang. Why use an intermediate bar? Why not just move each set forward to their final position?

Good question. I am not sure I do use an intermediate bar: I have more than one heddling (original) bar because I find it easier to keep things organized and only have to think about some of the leashes at a time. Maybe my video is confusing 🙁 There is a totally new method for loading the pattern shafts - have you seen it? It does away with the need for aheddling bar at distribution time.
