In this, the fourth and final part of our groundbreaking series taking a fine-wool damask scarf from start to finish, we finally get down to brass tacks and weave. Due consideration is given to refining the drawloom shed; reading a Fiberworks lift-plan; selecting the pattern-shaft and single-drawcord pulls; and weaving. The video closes with the Big Reveal.
Also included: a sneak peak at some ideas for 2021 and heartfelt thanks to everybody who's made working on this channel for the last nine months so rewarding

I don't know if I will ever progress to draw loom weaving, but listening to and watching you go through the process is great. Thank you so much for sharing.

@@DuellingRabbits It's funny. In one way that looks very intimidating. And yet, I keep finding myself looking at counter march looms and thinking that bcould be set up as a beginners draw loom. Hummmm.🤔

@@sonjanordahl3158 Hmmm indeed. Why fight it? 😉 Check out the new Julia drawloom: it is perfect for folks wanting to get their feet wet with countermarch looms and drawlooms too. Just sayin'.

I've been watching through your channel in chronological order as I not-so-patiently save up for my own drawloom. I just realized that I have yet to pop into your comments (shame on me!) and give you a most hearty THANK YOU for all of the effort you have put into these videos! I am so grateful for your generosity in sharing your process, and for your thoughtful approach to teaching. I know these videos are the result of much hard work, and I cannot thank you enough for the inspiration and education! I'm looking forward to the rest of your channel!

I just want to say thank you for being so in-depth with your loom. I really want to work my way up to a drawloom and/or modify my 4 shaft to be a mini drawloom. It's a custom built loom (I'm the third owner as far as I know) so I don't mind adding onto it in the sense that anything I would like to do would have to be custom made anyways, so I have plans to make upgrades in the works. Thank you for all the information you're sharing, it's amazing and even if a niche subject that might not garner alot of views on KZfaq, I love what you have done visually. I'm still slightly confused by how some of it works, but that's okay. I will figure it out!

That sounds like an exciting project! I hope you will share your progress in time. And you are right - it's a niche subject, all right. But my goal is to make drawlooms go viral 🤣

Thank you so much for this series. It was very insightful. The possibilities of draw loom weaving are endless. Your style and technique for imparting information are wonderful. Looking forward to 2021. Do you have a website? If so, would you be able to post a bibliography of books to learn more about this exciting method of weaving? Again, many thanks and best wishes for a wonderful holiday season. Please stay safe. Happy weaving.

Your scarf is stunning! I’m a new weaver, only have a rigid heddle loom, but your series was fascinating to watch. I probably only understood about half of it, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Ann! My first loom was a rigid heddle and I still have it. They are great for learning weaving and extremely powerful in what they can do. I wish you all the best on your new weaving journey. ~Amy

Wow, THANK YOU for making this series of videos! I'm just setting up my single unit drawloom for the second time (after having it in storage for a couple years), and as a solo weaver without nearby resources to help me, you've answered dozens of my questions in these videos and saved me a lot of frustration. Thank you!
