Weaving with Two Weft Yarns on One Quill

Күн бұрынIf you've ever woven with two weft yarns wound together on the quill of a side-feed shuttle, you may have experienced a common pitfall: the yarns unspooling at different rates, causing mayhem and despair to your weaving. In this short video, I demo a few techniques (including some awesome quill-winding footage!) for weaving double-weft but trouble-free.

Ooh! I'm excited to try this. I normally use double quill shuttles because I'm constantly rotating which yarns I combine in the weave. But I dislike using the double shuttles for blankets as they don't hold enough yarn. Amy to the rescue!

you made it! Thank you, I have struggled so much with this in the past so I can't wait to try again with these tips. I think (for me) the technique to throw the shuttle will be key.
