Phocus for desktop, Hasselblad's free RAW file image processing software for both Mac and PC, is full of powerful features that work seamlessly with all Hasselblad cameras.
One of these features, Reproduction Mode, provides a flat RAW file allowing photographers and creatives to control some of the more advanced options related to colour reproduction. Especially useful for the cultural heritage sector, where colour accuracy is key, and commonly used alongside Hasselblad's Multi-Shot technology, this webinar will walkthrough the options of Reproduction Mode and how they could assist your workflow.
This webinar also covers Scene Calibration, a tool that helps to remove a colour cast and/or uneven illumination caused by lighting variations.
Presented by Chris Cooze, Hasselblad's Global Technical Training Manager, and suitable for both beginners and more advanced users.

It would be great to add an export option to tiff or psd on the mobile iPad version to allow the workflow to continue in another app (photoshop, affinity, etc...)

What are the reproduction Mode settings/Workflow that you recommend for precise color calibration: Working Profile, Color calibration, Input profile and Response. Should I use custom target Color Calibration and Input profile (made with external software)?

For the finest colour control you should ideally use the L* colour space. Use this to capture your target with Factory as default and the Reproduction Mode as Low Gain. This will give you the widest possible sensor data (ie; Dynamic Range). You can then save this as your profile and use this for the Input Profile for your captures.

thanks so much for this - really great overview for any newbee! keep on going! One question I have is, given I learnt that the Hasselblad gamut is larger that Adobe RGB - does that make a difference when printing on a standard image printer like the Epson SC 800 which only does up to Adobe RGB? Obviously the colors will be "compressed/moved/rendered" to fit into that color space - will one still see a difference? Also given that most papers aren´t capable even of Adobe RGB?

It very much depends on your intent for the image. By using the Hasselblad gamut you are maintaining as much colour detail for all uses, but if only using for print, then Abobe RGB may be the optimised workflow for you.

I think hassle blad should work with one plus because I never know hassleblad before.but when one plus introduce hassleblad then I know there's hassleblad camera
