Thank you Fr for a beautiful message. You are bold in what you say and brave in what you do. Praise the Holy spirit for your words and actions. Please Pray for all those who take a stand against those( especially their near and dear ones) who defy the first commandment. They pay a big price. But the good news is God is in control!

Today we see the total faith Elijah has in God, although he was alone against the majority who worshipped Baal and God accepted his sacrifice in the presence of all the people who acknowledged The Lord is God.Thanks, Father for your teaching.God bless.

Dear Fr Warner, your gospel talks always give us thoughts to reflect on. We need to emulate Elijah who was enspirited with boldness when he confronted Ahaz & arranged the contest between Baal & God. This was one of God's greatest manifestations in the old testament, causing fire to burn in water. We also learn that that we are responsible for our choices with God & he wants all of us - no half measures. Fr I agree with you about what you spoke on mixed marriages. I too married a non Catholic & we had a ceremony in the Holy Name Chapel & a court formality. But no compromises & my altar is very precious to me. Thank you Fr for your candid talk. Thank you Fr. Warner for explaining catholic church's explicit teaching about mix marriages, house blessings etc. As you clearly said Church has it's arms open to all faithful but CAN NOT compromise on its teaching in the Old testament and the clarification by Jesus about marriage.
