As someone that just graduated nursing school, passed NCLEX and got her a job at her dream hospital, don’t be so hard on yourself about numerical grades! My thought process through school was as long as I get a passing score I’ll be fine, and that helped me so much with my anxiety and performance in school! Nursing school is hard enough, and as a perfectionist myself I know how hard it is to feel like you can do better on exams, but you have to do good for yourself as well. You got this! Your grades are not your worth, and you will be a great nurse!

When I was in nursing school, my passing grade was an 80. From the very beginning I told myself to just do my best and if I can at least get a "passing" grade on each exam, I would be happy. Nursing school in itself is stressful and hard enough and you shouldn't beat yourself up if you don't get a high grade every time. I always strived to do better on each exam, but I would always make sure I was happy enough with a passing grade. PASSING is PASSING and your grades won't even matter when you start working as a nurse!!! Keep that in mind and keep doing your best. I can obviously tell that you study very hard and you care enough to do well. You WILL get through this! Also, I got a little white board from target and would write things like "I will pass my next exam with an 80+" and it would honestly help me do just that! Speaking positively about yourself and what you want from your life is a great confidence booster. Right now, my board says "I WILL pass my final. I WILL pass the HESI. I WILL graduate! I WILL pass the NCLEX. I WILL become an RN." I've been able to cross off the first 3 things. I have it hung up in my room and it forces me to look at it and read it every single day. I hope you read all of this and I hope I can somewhat help you get through this. It's a constant battle but it is so worth it in the end. You got this!!

I just got news today that I’ve been accepted into nursing school for 2021!!! I’m so excited and nervous, I’ve always wanted to help people that has been a long time passion of mine ! When I got into a car crash last February my life changed forever and when I had good nurses it kept my spirits up so I told myself that I want to help people just like me! I just finished my first week of nursing school! To say the least, it’s different than anything I’ve experienced! I am currently taking a break from studying for my first exam which is Monday. I was the same way. I’m happy they are letting you do clinicals. Just be safe and depend on each other. Allow yourself breaks so you don’t get burnt out. Utilize flash cards and draw out processes. I just graduated and got my license so I empathize. You can do this!

I started working as a pca taking care of a paraplegic gentleman. When I started working for him I didn't know how much I can handle I started getting very overwhelmed. Im a nursing student also and white boards are literally, THE BEST.

I need complete quiet as well. Since our school is completely closed I have nowhere to go except my room. What i started doing to ensure that I got silence is staying up really late when my family is asleep. So i only have class early on Mondays and Wednesday’s and the other night i usually stay up until 6 am studying.

C19 is rough but we all need to take the extra adjustments we need to be okay. Noise canceling headphones are expensive but useful for sure when you need quiet time. I either listen to them off or I listen to white noise or classical music to study. Hope this helps!!!

I have to have it quiet while studying. Also, I use a white board too! I need to get a little one though. I never thought of typing my notes and then checking to see what I missed. I’ll have to try it. I start class on Sept. 1st. I’m so nervous because I have to take 4 classes while working full time. I am a “A” student so I’m going to be living off of coffee. My goal is to become a surgical technologist. No worries...when I wake up in the morning I look in the mirror like “this can’t be right!” LoL. ❤️

I’m way late to this video but just found you. I’m a 30-year-old stay at home mom to my 5 kids and am halfway through my first semester. I already have a Bachelors degree so I’ll be doing an accelerated program once I complete my few prerequisites. You have weekends? Youngest granddaughter in in a 12 month ABSN course reduced to 11 months due to Covid19. They compressed all course week into first two semesters. Today, Aug 8 she is on a three week break until they return for three months of clinicals. She has a 4.0.

My community college nursing program already sent the course outline up until the 1st exam...mind you, class ended mid may and they sent it the last week of May😳 they gave us a list of cardio meds, and new dosage calc math homework😩😩😩 3rd semester is about to be hell...i can feel it in my bones😩🤦🏾
