3rd semester nursing student here! Do not think you HAVE to study 8hrs/day i always say study as much as you personally need to. Also its important to do self care for yourself. Its a wild ride but will be over so fast!

just remember that with studying its more about quality than quantity. will learn more and do better on tests with a shorter study time if you are really working had and getting quality studding done than studying for a long time not as hard. I had a professor tell us that in one of my classes and it really made me feel better

Loved this video!!! I also haven’t been studying for eight hours a day and we just had our first test this pass week and I did well. What helped me SO much to prep was going on Pearson and doing the NCLEX style questions and they have different topics and I just did the topics that was on my test.A lot of my classmates did that as well and loved it!!

in my first quarter of nursing I studied just about every hour that I could. Now I am just finishing my 5th quarter about to go into my final 6th quarter with my preceptorship where i'll be working full time with a nurse in the ICU. I found that I actually do just fine studying by briefly reviewing my notes each day and then giving it about 4-5 hours the day before the exam :)

I think you are doing very well-I don't think you need to get too ahead of yourself with worrying about the NCLEX questions. I have a book and I do go over them as well. They are tricky, but we are in school to learn. Both you and I are at the beginning and we are here to learn. No one is going to school because we already know it all. I am glad you had such great weather-we are having it too here! Those are the days to get the stinky parking spots, lol. Your sister really does resemble the Puffls character-that is so cute. I am going to giggle when I see the commercials now! Hoping your test went well. My test is this week too. My quizzes have been good-Labs and quizzes abounding! Gosh I wish we had y’alls schedule!!😂 we have class 8:30-2:30 Monday and Tuesday and a 12 hour clinical on Thursday’s 😩

I have taken 3 exams about to take my 4th and you will get better in time with all the NCLEX/ select all that apply questions with each test. Our professions told us to treat each answer like a yes no or true false type questions. I have been doing really good and each test I’m getting better and better. I hope that little tip helps you. 🙂

late to the party but it’s so school to see how different schools are set up!! i’m in my first semester and our exams are 75 questions and 60 mins, we have to wear our scrubs to class eeeeveryday, 12 hour hospital clinical days but we had 6 weeks of lab practice at school before they even let us go to the hospital! good luck!!❤️

Hey girl! I recently graduated nursing school & passed my NCLEX RN in July. Wanted to let you know (Incase anyone else hasn’t) I recommend using Uworld to study. It’s a great resource and it helped me pass the NCLEX with flying colors, but I wish I had known about it when I started nursing school. It’s an amazing tool that gauges your knowledge & breaks down every concept really well! Also, are you in the SoCal area?! I saw your CSULB crewneck & I’m about 20 minutes from there! anyways hope my advice helps! xoxo

What planner do you use? I love the three different sections for three different times of the day! I’m hopefully starting grad school for my Masters in Nursing and that would be very helpful!
