I'm gonna have to check out Spider-man Reign! I gave up on Chips Batman... It didn't do it for me, I love the Jorge Jimenez art though, the only reason I stuck with it for a while. The Savage Dragon insanity is what makes it worth buying after 30 years. Grendel is awesome! I need to read Canto...

Went and picked up Reign TPB and Reign 2 #1. Fucking awesome! The original is definitely Kaare Andrews doing a Miller pastiche. Loved it! The new one seems like he’s channeling McFarlane.

Marvel Redband gimmick- if we have an issue where a character is stabbed, and another copy were they are disemboweled, how can we say both events are taking place in the 616?

The Spawn Universe books are $2.99. They all have cardstock covers and solid artwork. However, I don’t think the writing is that great and I’m not a huge fan of the Spawn characters. But I think I continue to buy it because the production values, price and art are very appealing. The publishing model is what I wish Marvel and D.C. would adopt. Ghost Machine has a very similar model except they are $3.99 which is still great price nowadays. The Ghost Machine books have been excellent so far though.

I feel like giving an excessive amount of praise to a book and then following it up with, "I hung out with the person who did xyz on that book" lowers the credibility and believe-ability of the praise you're giving.
