In this video I'll be taking you guys with me on a productive week in my life :) I've started house renovations by stripping down wallpaper and getting rid of the super ugly wardrobe... so I had to go on a little shop to ikea to buy a new clothes rail. I also setup a new aesthetic study area for me to work on school and youtube videos. I never treat myself to stuff like this, but thought it was well overdue since the last 2 years of university I've been sitting on the floor or on my vanity :') I'll be showing you the process of me building it, plus some extra stuff. I also talk about how I'm not really feeling social media these days, and am going to stop using it from today (i'll STILL be posting though!!!), so hopefully if any of you have been feeling that way to then hopefully you know you're not alone.

Girl I totally feel you on less social media! I’m 27 too and I want to make myself do more with my time other than scrolling and taking in things that don’t benefit my mind. I feel so bad when I realize I gave like hours of my life to something that didn’t really do anything productive for me. It’s crazy how it’s so easy to just scroll and scroll. I miss the simple days it all

I agree!. I stopped using Facebook. I never used Snapchat or TikTok. But ever since Instagram has videos I find myself watching for hrs. So terrible. I need to stop. Great vid. :)

Hi Meg 🙂 I've been following you religiously for quite some time (actually can't remember where and when I even found you) because I just love your content, it's refreshing to watch the way you live life... always with a smile on your face and enjoying all the small things. 😸 I just wanted to say I am so proud of all your accomplishments and progress in life! Your positivity has inspired me to go back to Uni for the second time to study agriculture at the ripe old age of 30. I will be starting the 28th. Hey Megan, it was funny to hear you mention feeling that burn out of social media! I felt the exact same way and actually deleted every single app off my phone almost a month ago! (I actually didn't realize it's been that long already). I agree, its overwhelming and felt like I was wasting space in my mind with so much junk. I also noticed I was getting really irritable and impatient with things in day to day life.. and I also had super bad brain fog. I started to notice more and more my short term memory was dwindling, and when googling about it I read somewhere how it can affect all these things and it made sense. I also had to turn off multiple unnecessary notification things on my phone, aside from the usual texts and call alerts. I just want to be off my phone and detox. It's honestly been super nice and I haven't missed social media at all! I was afraid of losing contact with friends, because it seemed like social media was my only connection to the world. But quickly realized that's not true too. The ones that matter do call to catch up and text to make plans... and I love it this way. Simple and exciting to reconnect with friends and family this way.

I definitely have been feeling the same way about social media. No, like srsly, I can’t believe how hours can just pass by on tiktok. I started thinking how the world was for ppl our age back when these distractions didn’t exist. Ugh, and I do love that I have felt the positive things about social media, feeling like I relate to so many ppl and we’re all going through similar things, but it’s a double edge sword, at least for me at this point in my life. I want to go after what I want and actually make an effort to make new friends and hang out in real life. It’ll prob be hard but I’m gonna limit myself to only using to post once in a while about my life and not endlessly scrolling. On another note, I love ur desk!! I’m excited about the renovations

your makeup looks so good! and the oversized style looks so cute on you and your short lil bob. I feel you when it comes to social media. I've gotten into the habit of not keeping apps like instagram, facebook and tiktok on my phone. I only have them on my laptop or ipad (which i use less often than my phone) so that I don't end up scrolling for hours. Maybe you should try that, it really helps! Try only installing it back on your phone when you want to post something, then immediately deleting it afterwards. It's helped me to be more conscious of how much time I spend on there, and to be mindful of how much content I consume. I also regularly go through my following list and delete accounts that don't benefit me or that don't interest me anymore. Social media can definitely be a double edged sword, I think we just have to watch ourselves and be mindful to not waste our hours away on it.

How are you so relatable 💕 I’m so excited for your home to be cozy-fied to your liking, it’s the best feeling to feel comfy while getting shit done lol. Totally understand the need to take a break from social media. I don’t ever let myself go on TikTok bc I will scroll for hours, I think the way it’s set up is dangerous. I have never had and may never have IG but I do occasionally use fb simply to check up on old friends and family. As always, love the vlogs!

Your real talk was so trippy to hear because I JUST decided to take a break from Instagram (same reasons - feeling consumed, wasting so much time, and feeling addicted as well as the attention span issues) so I’m in the same boat with you I also cried when I heard about the queen. Don't feel bad about procrastinating your desk for a few days...I literally bought a new bed from IKEA a YEAR ago and I still haven't built it 😂 PS: I completely understand the social media thing, I am 32 and extremely sick of it. I only check it for about 15 minutes a day but most of it is toxic tbh. Except for KZfaq, I can spend hours on it. I just love your channel and always look forward to your videos 🙂

Megan, this video was soo relatable I really needed to hear this I stopped using social media as of last year and only use it once every 5 months and I deleted all social media apps and I only log in when I want to use it for a few minutes then log back out, as I feel it can be super toxic for me personally... even logging in happens once in soo many months and its usually for someone's birthday lol, I haven't used it properly in so long it's honestly being so freeing. Thank you for this and omg the soft toy thing! That is soo me aswell I still love teddies 🥰. Alsoo please could you give us an update on any workout your doing or basically anything other than healthy eating you do to say in shape it would be really interesting to see! (Like youtube channel workouts you follow and things like that) Anyways hope you are doing well and I can't wait to see more videos from you 🧸💗.

I agree with you about social media, I am 26 and feel like you, as I was wasting my time watching stuff that wasn't productive for myself at all so I deleted the app and never missed it, in the end it was all useless information. I also try to not enter so much on instagram, only see it once in a day, we compare ourselves lives so easily there. I am trying to live more for myself without all these internet information all the time, I can't even remember living without it and I used to until I'm 15 years old so, my mind needs a break, we need to relearn living the boredom again. Just to you know, I am brazilian and watch your channel from Brazil since 2019 🌎

hiiii megan i have a color changing light bulb too and the reason mine asked for wifi was bc it connected to an app on my phone and being on the same wifi allows it to connect and control it wirelessly (kind of like bluetooth? but on local wifi) but anyways love u youre looking cute as always

I only use Facebook and YT, I don’t have insta, TikTok or other social media things. When someone mentions some famous Instagram celebrity or some YT beauty guru and I say I don’t know, then they tell me I must have been under the rock, I tell them if not knowing and following these so called SM celebrities is a big deal then I rather to be under the rock than over the rock😅 cuz I’m so much liberated in consuming my own life and investing in it than looking up to these shallow people which what they portray is probably not even half true
