'The Prince Who Wanted Everything' absolutey has meaning. It's about how the music industry commodifies and uses up artists, with Prince, the artist, as sort of an example. The dark underbelly of the music industry is the record's thematic throughline, but it's especially on the nose here.

Hi, I noticed you put Make Believe in a lower tier even though it has Haunt You Every Day. Have you really given it a good listen? It's a real underappreciated gem and should be taken more seriously in the Weezer canon. I am definitely not being threatened to make this comment because of how my tier list went.

Hey, like your review. Am just getting into Weezer and really enjoying finally discovering them. I'm in my 60s and when I was younger,( oh no, here she goes) if an album had 2 good songs you were supposed to be happy. So if there are 4 good tracks, I want to hear it. You can't always hit a homerun

I feel like every Weezer fan has a strong like/ dislike for various albums from their entire discography. However, that is the beauty behind what makes this band’s success and longevity. Personally, I completely disagree with, but respect your opinion.

I like the self titled one

I bet it was daunting to create maybe your best album at the beginning when your so young and so new to fame. Probably why he went back to school right after. Rivers, lots of adversity when he was a kid (communes were often abusive to little kids, and being bullied later). He's pretty amazing that he got through, first his childhood, then, the music world (too many drugs and exploiters),fame,tons of criticism. And they kept the band together. Pretty, pretty amazing even. He's a true artist.

The good life is the first Weezer song I've ever heard and it is definitely up there with my favorite Weezer songs of all time. Kinda sucks nobody talks about it though

Agree with 95% of what you say- but red and SZNZs are WAY too high. Glad to see you have the black album so low. That album is unlistenable to me.

Dead Roses is one of the best OK Human tracks imo I agree on the Teal Album though

I understand some Pinkerton songs being too weird when being looked at individually, but when you look at it as a journey it's seriously not so bad. First three songs establishes his experiences with relationships so far, Why Bother shows the fear of trying again that comes from those experiences, and Across The Sea is the fall into depravity to cope with that. All of this is quickly mended with The Good Life where Rivers decides to get his shit together, so he gives dating a try again in El Scorcho, fails embarassingly in Pink Triangle, finds someone in Falling For You, and fucks up miserably in Butterfly leaving him in shambles. Across The Sea is gross yeah but it's kind of a non-issue when it's supposed to be the "when you hit rock bottom you can only go up" lesson in the album when it transitions into The Good Life.

All the Black Album haters and (Raditude haters for that matter) can suck it. Look, let’s all agree that Blue is one of the best albums of all time. I truly appreciate Pinkerton. I think OK Human and White were friggen brilliant. But I also love that Black, Raditude and PDD exist. They each have their own uniquely Weezer vibe and there are some amazing songs on all of them. It’s so annoying that a few snobby critics decide these albums are bad and then the herd mentality takes over. Stop being sheep.

2015? Good Lord.

I started out hating Black but then it grew on me when I realized it is their only rocking album that doesn't have any typical chugging rock songs on it. That makes it more fun to listen to than the samey albums (Green, PD, OKH.) Also, I love Raditude, and Can't Stop Partying is a brilliant experiment to see if minor chords can change the vibe of club lyrics.
