I've got a lot of respect for Weezer but after the first three or five albums, they have been spectacularly hit-or-miss. Lil Wayne is capable of incredible rapping but in the same way, is entirely like Weezer in the same sense. For you to suggest anything of the sort, that you suggested.... as a fan of the BLue Album and Pinkerton and who has listened to everything this band ever put out, I still like stuff they put out to this day. This is by far one of the most diverse sounding bands and they seem to evolve with the times. They never stay in one place, and it keeps their sound fresh and gets them new fans who might be into other genres. I love the fact that they keep doing whatever the hell they want to, because thats what a true artist does.

in fairness, you have to have a pretty high IQ to understand this song, and the rest of raditude. it really isnt for the faint of heart, and i think lil wayne's verse is lyrically deeper than 90% of "deep" music put out by some musicians put out this day. my english professor cried after analysing it in fact. i think modern music will never top the classics of the late 2000's and Can't Stop Partying is a key example of this.

Not, "I don't want to stop partying." 2. The tone of the music is not...happy, if that makes sense. Because of those points, and the rehab/addiction mentions in it, I always read it as a little sad--maybe even a cry for help. I think that adds another dimension for me, which makes me like it more than most.

+Justin Robert Torres it was the very last album they made with DGC records. They were contractually obligated to make some specific types of songs in order to get their album pushed out which resulted in this abomination. Note the heavy amount of mainstream sounding songs in the Raditude album and the lack thereof in future albums. Doesn't take a genius to figure out it was all because of their shitty label at the time.
