There's one thing about this figure that I find highly amusing. I'm watching emgo transform the back half of the truck into Prime's legs. Thinking about it in reverse, going from robot to truck...it's amazing all of the steps that are needed...to literally not hide anything. You absolutely transform Prime's legs...to Prime's legs...from Prime's legs. I will truly miss watching emgo review Wei Jiang's KO Transformers. I have loved their Transformers dearly for quite some time now, and will always be amazed that what we call knock-offs are almost always better in every way than the real thing.

Personally the Wei Jiang looks more proportionate with the whole body. The toy world one has a weird upper body with a tiny waste. But to each their own. I have the Wei Jiang and it looks amazing.

Quite happy with my M09, first Wei Jiang figure I have gotten and with all that's happened with WJ, glad I did. Mine didn't come with Batteries, but was able to find out what they were through an online search, instructions or the box didn't help on that front.

Mechanical Team just started releasing upgraded oversized and repainted SS Constructicons. So far they have Scrapmetal, Hightower, and a Rampage. They re-engineered some of the components and added new features and accessories. Best I've seen so far.

Not really he's a red, white and, blue truck. So technically he's an American truck.

If you remove the cartridge from the gun, can it then fit into the truck mode storage? I love this overall design - the double hinged panels (some with two sided designs - wow), the simplicity of the legs, the elegance of hiding those fuel tanks! Not having to spend time transforming feet is always a positive. This guy reminds me of how much I admired the design of MP-01 when it first came out. Wei Jiang did a fantastic job. Even though they're going away, they won't really be gone - just look for a business called Jei Wiang in about a years time! lol :)

Great review my man. Totally agree that the upper section is VERY slightly on the larger side but still very impressive. My legs also suffered with floppage but a screwdriver sorted that straight out. Batteries only came in the head of mine. None in my gun so I think I got robbed. But for anyone in the same position the batteries are AG1. I bought a pack of 20 of ebay for almost zero monies. Keep up the awesome work and stay safe everyone.

Ohhh poor Wei Jiang. Despite being a KO Most of there stuff is amazing. I always regretted not picking up the Black Apple MPM Prime, now it’s next to impossible to find. Guess I’ll have to pick up a few of there more recent releases now that they are shutting down.

I'll miss the reviews on Wei Jiang products as I liked their engineering but honestly they were usually too expensive for me to collect anyway. I guess their payoff check to the Chinese authorities to look the other way bounced lol.

im gonna be honest I like how this one looks and transforms. normaly they add like fake windshields and stuff to make it over complicated but this one looks nice while being simples and using the windshields you see in truck mode.

I went with the Wei Jiang AUTOBOT APEX GOD OF WAR Upscaled SS 38. Not as detailed as this one. But I liked SS38 so I'm glad I got it.

tl;dr Third party figures, the best ones, are legally grey art pieces, their transformations and engineering are truly a work of art. So it's sad to hear that Wei Jiang might be the beginning of them being made illegal. Just looking up the Wei Jiang situation real quick, it's sad to hear especially the precedent it might set. But it sucks because I don't know why "remixing" with toys is seen as so much more strict than anything else. Like with music stuff like parodies exist which literally use THE SAME base song just changing up the lyrics but that is seen as transformative enough. Or even basic remixes that just tweak the song a tad bit to make it sound different and depending on your preferences, better. And this is all amazing as it allows people to creatively change or tweak stuff they want to in ways they think would improve it, yet the same cannot happen with toys? If it stops becoming possible to improve on designs or make your own transformations of certain characters (which is completely original! Since the whole engineering and design comes from the specific designers making it, completely separate from the company which made the character itself) If all this amazing new work becomes disallowed it will be a sad day as all this creative works breaths new life into the designs and characters, that cannot be done just by the "official" companies. Like how in other industries, we wouldn't have lots of amazing computers or cars or anything, if the design wasn't allowed to be improved upon by only very specific companies that created it in the first place. It would just lead to stagnation if the same practices were applied to other industries. But I guess it's fine for toys to be so strict because "who cares it's toys" even though if the laws were enforced we wouldn't get such great design from third party companies. Not allowing innovation to flourish legally just leads to stagnation, whether you view said thing as important or not. I get these companies wanting to own the characters or designs, but there needs to be some leeway, some time after which it's completely fine to produce your own third party designs, because if it isn't allowed we wouldn't get such great amazing new toys. And the world of toy designs would be so much more sadder without amazing designs coming from third parties who aren't afraid to innovate and create cool new unique designs and transformations

Emgo there is an upgrade kit for transformers studio series optimus prime

I have both the TW Prime and the WJ Prime and I won't transform either. Personally I prefer the chunkiness of the WJ figure. Makes him look ripped and ready for war. My favorite analogy is, TW looks like teenager Prime. WJ looks like war-torn, adult Prime. WJ Prime actually has abs, while TW looks like he pulled his pants up too high. Also, I attempt to fix the loose shoulder joints on the WJ so that he could hold up his gun and I succeeded in doing so. For anyone who is interested....its quite easy. On the back of the shoulder, open the panel. Behind the panel you will see two screws. Take them out. Once those screws are out, pull the front panel away from the back panel of the shoulder. This will cause the arm to come off. Then you should see a screw holding the gray joint to the inner shoulder. Take that out. Once you remove the swiveling joint, you should see the peg that goes inside. Put clear nail polish all over this joint and let dry. Then put everything back together. This fixed mine. He can now hold his gun up! yay.

In terms of the floppy-joint issue I’ve heard about- how would one go about tightening them? Tightening screws? Adding floor polish? Are the joints even fixable?
