Featured is an excellent rapid chess game between Wei Yi and Nodirbek Abdusattorov from the 2024 Superbet Poland Rapid & Blitz. After only 5 moves, Wei Yi finds himself with doubled pawns and concedes the bishop pair to Abdusattorov. The middlegame unfolds with a focus on key pawn breaks, as Wei Yi mechanically prevents Abdusattorov's f5 advance with a knight, igniting a sharp struggle. The game's instructive final position is a reminder of Wei Yi's middlegame provocation with Be3. If in the final position Abdusattorov's a-pawn was home instead of on a6, the evaluation would be equal rather than lost for black.

Appreciate the commentary. Also my dog thanks you for keeping the piece plunking silent - she trembles with fear when she hears that for some reason. 😊

Tiny misstep in early phase brought the whole structure to collapse at the end, a lesson for a life. Thanks for the analysis and the unmatched selection of the games.
