In this video i build a Cheap DIY carbon fiber Trunk lid for out low budget Turbo Miata Project Although i did a few mistakes and the result was kinda MEH, i achieved a 7KG (or 15.4 LBS) Wheight loss. In the Video i show you what i did, what i did wrong and how to do it correctly, so you dont repeat my mistakes.
Cost in Total was around 120$

Don't forget that when you reduce weight in the rear, to reduce it in the front for an even weight bias.

Could you list the products you used from easycomposites? You mentioned wishing you had used a thinner weave (100 or 180) but would you still have done 2 layers? And which epoxy?

I think you mentioned in the video but where did you buy the carbon fiber weave?

Qh think i forgot it was easycomposite. You can get everythingfrom them if you live in the eu or uk
