The thing I like about Weird Al is that he never resorts to personal insult to get his funny, in fact the only time I can think of that even came close to making fun of the artist themselves was Smells like Nirvana and even that was just a good-natured ribbing about how no one understood their lyrics. And no matter the nature of the parity he almost always asks permission of the artist before moving ahead, that's not something that these insult scandal jockey wannabes on KZfaq would ever consider doing, no they just lace their "parodies" with attention grabbing insults so they can get instant hits. Seriously look up almost any other parody on KZfaq and try to find one that would base its parody on something as innocuous as a handyman or something completely not related to the artist....you're just not going to find that as much that takes thought and talent something Al has bags of

One thing I always respected about Weird Al was that he asks permission of the artists to write a parody about them, even though he doesn't have to, because he doesn't want to offend them if they didn't know about it.
