When I was training to be a Vet Nurse, I heard from a classmate of mine where a dog swallowed a lil toy ball and had to get surgery to get it out! When the procedure is done and the dog woke up, the vet was explaining to the client and showed the owner the ball... the dog took it's chance and lunged at it, swallowing it yet again! It was very awkward and embarassing from what I've heard and they had to do surgery again to take the ball out and this time they threw the ball away. Never gonna risk that chance again! 🤣

Snake case: I am abs speechless - this amount of money and time invested in a wild animal is incredible, I love them so much for doing that for a snake! Most people would even just let it suffer bc its not a cute furry animal to them, this whole setup for a wild python is making me so happy TwT In another episode they brought in both the dog who fought the snake as well as the chewed-on snake which they decided to put down bc it was too severely injured- that shot costs hundreds! I am so happy and grateful to see they use the extra money they get with the series to help wildlife in the same way they would do for beloved pets

Underwear? Pfft! That happens way more often than it should. That doesn't surprise me. Underwear, socks and dirty, stanky shirts get eaten all the time. My clinic removed multiple golf balls from a single dog, a mouse cat toy from dog that did not live with cats ( Nobody knows where they got the toy), a sewing needle from a cat's throat, yarn balls ( Yarn and string are NOT toys, folks!), rocks.... lots of rocks, various children's toys from Lego to plushies, various adult toys but mostly C-rings, jewellery, rubber washers. Biggest offender of eating things they shouldn't: Labradors/Goldens. Whenever there was an animal in clinic with a foreign body, 85% chance it's a lab/golden. Luckily, we've never had dogs eat knives or snakes eating heating blankets. I've heard stories/seen x-rays but thankfully never seen it myself.

I got a 34 minute ad in a 29 minute video, I was quite surprised, I love these vet programmes, all these vets are amazing. My snake had a towel in the bottom of her tank and after a meal one evening she decided she had to try eat the towel, my husband spotted her as she wrapped herself around it to "kill" it, I had to grab her and the towel and gently convince her she didnt really want to carry on eating it. It was a very tense 15 minute stand off but eventually her actual meal must have made her sleepy cos she spit out the towel and crawled onto her baking area to sleep. She no longer has towels as bedding

My childhood dog had to go to the vet for severe abdominal pain. They did an X-ray and found a bunch of items in her stomach. They surgically removed all of the items and she was fine. My mom asked what was in her and the vet brought out a medium-sized mixing bowl heaped over with items. Broken plastic bowls, towels, toys, a pacifier, you name it, she ate it. She didn’t end up having any complications from it though.

I went through 4 years of my beautiful Labrador having a ravenous appetite for s o c k s and rocks. He once ate 7 rocks and God bless he vomited up five and pooped out the remaining two. I gave him peroxide and we spent the night in the backyard in rainy Vancouver huddled under a tarp. He's such a good boy he refused to vomit in the house. Best guess he ate at least six socks managing to vomit them all up. A very lucky fur baby and fur mama is vet bills in my part of the world are more expensive then medical bills for people. The very best news is at 6 years old he has not eaten anything that wasn't given to him 4/2 years. Don't give up hope in most cases they grow out of it. Oh I forgot the two golf balls. LOL

@@omegadragons321 he really is an unusual dog. I can leave food sitting everywhere. Snacks by the bedside table and all his treats sitting on the kitchen table and go out and when I get home he won't have touched a thing. Aside from the socks and rocks, LOL he will not eat anything that isn't handed to him. My brother had a Labradoodle that unfortunately had a fondness for underwear. I'm sorry I have probably shared more information with you then was necessary. Stay safe and well. 😉😊

Had a blast in Newcastle in 1999. Australia is one of the friendliest countries I have been to. Spent much of our nights at The Worker's Club which had one of the largest dance floors I have ever seen. Not to mention we spent some of our days at the brewery that was on the river. Funniest story was when I was the OIC of Shore Patrol I got to ride around with the police. They got a call to a house about a peeping tom. While the couple were talking with the police in their living room about the peeping tom the couple started asking if I wanted tea and how I was enjoying Australia. It was the 2nd time I went on a call with the police, first time was in Townsville.

My Black labrdor was responsible for 2 Carrier bags of odd socks my mum hid in her wardrobe ,so that my dad wouldn't know (he knew). My Lab loved socks to eat, something that we were unaware of until I saw him passing a sock one morning.!! Oh the joys of owning a dog

My Bichon got into my dad's fishing gear, when I spent a week at his house. My lab held her down, after she got it through her eye lid. It luckily didn't puncture her eye. Because my super smart lab mixed mutt her her down gently, until I came he. I rushed her to the vet, & they got it out. She was very lucky, & had her guardian angel watching over her.

One of my dogs is constantly trying to eat scrunchies. She’s big enough to pass them, and we find them in her feces sometimes, but my parents said that once when I wasn’t around they woke up to her gagging. Turns out she had coughed up a scrunchie she couldn’t quite swallow 😂

As much as I am not a fan of snakes, I feel so bad for this python. Beautiful marbled egg, Python has good taste in Marble eggs. Poor little Ava, No more panties Ava... Scully sweet girl no more human teethers for you.. Oh my Harley swallows a hook.. This made me cringe. Poor baby.. That was a big towel I am so surprised that the snake could breathe.. WOW

I think you should have kept and displayed the G string and the beach towel in the office to show others what exactly what animals could swallow. We were very lucky our dog who massive he eat a tennis ball and he eaten it in parts of course I phoned my son he was on his way home to take him to the vet when he vomited it himself and he had actually eaten 2 tennis balls from outside.
