What was the best thing about 1993?

I like how "Timeline" has the actual commercial announcement before their KZfaq ad, "We'll be right back after these messages.", just like old fashioned tv.

These episodes need to be 40 minutes long... So many gems missed every year.

Wow. I turned 12 on the same day "The X-Files" debuted. That show was *WAY* ahead of its time.

I was lucky enough to see Jurassic Park in the theaters on opening weekend. It was one of the defining moments of my childhood. It doesn't feel that long ago...

In 1993 I was 14. I started high school. I picked up a guitar for the first time. Still playing every day 27 years later. After '93 the next few years were going to be amazing. It was a wonderful time to be a teenager.

That commercial for captain crunch was hilarious “Good thing captain crunch has a fax machine” lmfao 🤣

My memory of 1993 was everything on tv was filmed in Oregon. Literally every show was in a rainy forest.

93 was a year I'll never forget. First year of high school. The hundred year flood of 93 on the Mississippi. We were evacuated out of our house. Grandparents and Friends lost their homes. We lived in a FEMA camp. Boy I really miss the big mouth mountain dew liter bottles.

I can't think of Janet Reno without think of thinking Will Ferrell's SNL skit.

I was born in 1980 so I love watching the the 80s and 90s episodes. It brings me back to my childhood and young adult. Man the 80s was good but the 90s was just awesome. I wish I could go back to the 90s.

In terms of 1993.... Animaniacs. A show so good that when it comes back exactly the same in the modern day but with some minor changes that people get pissed because they forgot that it was genuinely what it was like.

1993 Best moment for me, my second daughter was born at 32 weeks in July and only stayed 3 weeks in the NICU before coming home! Worst moment of 1993, losing my Grandpa Sena less than a month before my second daughter was born. He and I were tight. He showed me how to be a man. RIP Grandpa Fernando Sena 1922-1993 💔🙏🏽

I can't believe it, how could weird history not pay tribute to the premier of one of the most defining pop culture aspects of 1993 and the 90s, the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers!!!

You forgot the premieres of two iconic cartoons, Animaniacs (premiered September 13, 1993) and Rocko’s Modern Life (premiered September 18, 1993).

These videos are like a time capsule in case you didn’t know what happened in their respective year. It’s really informing stuff and I’m always excited when one is uploaded.

I was in grade 7 in 1993. Wearing Jordan Shoes was a big deal, all the boys were singing Snow's "Informer" and everyone went and saw "Jurassic Park". It was a great year for me.

Most vivid memory of '93 was getting woken up suddenly on a Friday morning by the World Tade Center bombing. I lived a mile away in Greenwich Village then. I could tell you where I was, what I was doing, and who I was with almost down to the day in 1993. I was 23, and every item in this video is bringing me back, for better or worse. Great job guys.

You seriously missed the blizzard of '93?!?!? I was over in the NW Cape of Western Australia and the weather on the US east coast made the headlines there!!! Heck, NC and TN residents are still talking about it to this day!

What I miss are, what seem to me , are the longer days and nights. Saw a comment the other day saying the skies were just bluer back in the 90s. Well the evenings and late nights back then, no matter where you were, were something else too. Staying up alone or with family or a few friends were always journeys.

The 90’s is the best decade of movies by far.

1993 was one of my favorite years. I turned 13 years old and really got into comic books with the Batman:Knightfall & X-Men:Fatal Attactions storylines being highlights for me. (Yes, I'm a geek. lol) Remember watching the Dallas Cowboys win the Super Bowl that year (and the unforgettable half-time show with Michael Jackson.) Have fond memories of 1993. Even teared up on New Years Eve when it ended. lol
