Every morning, the curtains draw to a new scenery and today it is Alesund. This maritime arrival presents an overview of the geographies and siting of each settlement and each city. Get breakfast, and then off to explore a brand new city. This is an Art Nouveau city, rebuilt after a great fire that wiped out the settlement predominantly built of timber, a very Nordic material grown in abundance. This was an opportunity to introduce a new style and embrace new ideas.
