Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is a Japanese tactical role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It was released on October 7, 2004 in Japan, and was later localized and released on May 23, 2005 in North America. It is the eighth game in the Fire Emblem series, the third and final game in the series to be released for the Game Boy Advance and the second game in the series to be released outside Japan. BUT NOW I RANDOMIZED IT SO STUFF IS ABOUT TO GET REAL WACKY.

Hey Ghast, so excited for this series! Would you mind spilling the beans on how you got the recruitment to be randomized? My biggest gripe with the self randomizer is no randomized recruits.

@@kongu12395 I believe he used another randomizer on the Rom to randomize the recruitment order, before patching it with the self-randomizer

@@ChrilIo I tried this and it didn't work... the FE8SR doesn't recognize the new file even when I ONLY changed recruitment order in Yune... hmmm???

update sorta got it to work but the names don't change.. I used NUPS to force on FE8SR after I used Yune to ONLY CHANGE RECRUITMENT ORDER.. there are some other visual glitches but I kinda got it to work (just need to fix names) hmmm??? @faerghast ??

actually it's 1 speed and 2 skill, the skill base is annoying, but the speed is vomit central since she'll get doubled by anything with 5 speed or more, so it's really a bit worse

The name is actually the seed for the randomization If two people use the same name, they will get they same results basically

The moment you only have 4 Attack while the enemy commander is a Wyvern Rider and has 15 Attack and can attack twice AND it’s only the Prologue, you know you’re in for some “fun” times.

I'm doing a Sacred Stones random run myself. Just got up to Ch10 Ephraim, Eirika had a bad build. Ephraim just promoted to Bishop, other notable characters are: Vanessa, the OP Wyvern Knight Saleh (Spearmint) the Paladin Joshua the only Archer 4 Myrmidons Dozla the Dwarven Assassin who got the Seth role Seth the Centaur

Man, I really wish I knew how to get the Universal Randomizer and Yune's Randomizer to play well together. I really want randomized recruitment from Yune, but I also really want the randomized skills from the USP patch...and, like another commenter mentioned, I can't figure out how to apply both. When I apply Yune first, the USP patch won't apply. When I apply the USP patch first, Yune won't recognize it. I don't know if the randomizers have moved on to improved versions that are no longer compatible, or if there's some way to make them work simultaneously that I just don't know, but it's kind of disheartening. If I have to choose one or the other, either way, I'm giving up on something really cool - randomized recruitment, or randomized skills.

is there any guides online to help with getting the 2 randomizers to work in tandem? I tried running the ups patch onto the Sacred Stones rom made in Yune, but that crashes the game after entering combat. Doing it the other way around, NUPS and then Yune, yune refuses to randomize the file. I'd love to have all the neat items and effects from Yune alongside the skills and abilities from NUPS.

If anyone is able to figure out how to patch both Circles randomizer and Yune's randomizer that would be super. When I patch Circle's .UPS onto my .GBA file, Yune's gets a checksum error. The same thing happens when I try reversing the patch order, the patching program (Tsukuyomi) receives the checksum error.

The Yune randomizer by itself does not allow you to see the altered growths, right?

Check your unit's growth? U can with QoL (Quality of Life) and pressing R (or was It L?) on its stats. If you wanna see growth changes before getting the unit people usually use FE editors on the rom to check the char growths

And yeah Yune itself doesnt let you know chars growth, only set the growth variance
