New projects homemade lathes bed (second lathe)
Hello KZfaqr, today I’m glad to share my new second homemade lathes.
I do happy to make a bigger size because my first lathe the size is a bit small, when milling a big plate of thick metal is not easy because the length is not enough space to milling than the plate metal I used is thin most are 10 mm thick.
So I decided to make a new lathe bigger than the previous lathe. Now there is enough experience to make a new lathe also.

Try to use hingspeed steel cutting tool and slow speed for heavy cut

That was an awful lot of stick out without a traveling steady rest. Lathe must be pretty rigid, you didn't seem to have a lot of chatter and vibration.

Thanks, you're right. That is not easy because by hand I will try my best to process step-by-step how can I change.
