Bournemouth’s first half against Villa was cool, controlled, and but for a lapse in concentration in the stoppage time, it would have been comfortable - as most of the hosts early threats were being stubbed out.
With Dom Solanke’s eighteenth goal of the season in the bank - it was looking like Iraola's side would go in 1-0 up, but ex-Red Morgan Rogers had different ideas...
And this seemingly set the tone for a second half, as contrary to pre-match opinion, Cherries were actually the side that looked leggy, with Villa’s quality eventually shining through via goals from Diaby and Bailey - ensuring Emery’s saw off Boscombe with ease.
But where were the problems? Was anyone individually at fault?

I love how truthful your comments are, with our Villa team now its down to the coaching staff when one of our players moves forward another player will cover their position players know the game plan and whats expected of them. Even on game day Emery holds 2 or 3 team meetings before the game. Good luck for your remaining game.

Arsenal have already derailed Spurs season by losing to Villa & Bayern in one week, putting CL spots for both a 4th or a 5th place finish out of reach. Takes a little of the sting out of the defeats. Plus, it's really good to see Emery doing well after the way the media treated him while he was at Arsenal.

Years ago when I lived in the Bournemouth area and couldn't get to the Villa games I would go and watch you play to get my match day fix. When I think of how far you have come since those days it is some achievement. It's great to see that you are establishing yourself as a premier league team of worthiness and long may it continue. @@grantkearney6354 in the squad being the key word. Your right. I dunno if you’ve noticed but unai utilises the squad. Like I said. It wasn’t our strongest 11. But it wasn’t our b team. In which b team does youri telielsman star in? Rogers is quickly making an argument as a strong challenger for Ramsey, zaniolo is not a starter he’s started maybe 2 games for us. Kamara and luiz would be the only two out of the players you’ve mentioned which would probably push out diaby and rogers. So hardly a b team. Wasn’t like we had Olsen in goal and lenglet starting was it?

Everytime Neto flapped at the ball jump up from crosses/corners in front of me yesterday, i couldn't help but groan, im just glad it was against us yesterday so it was fine. I said yesterday to Tom the only reason really why we are in different places in the league is because Villa have a world class keeper which all the defence has confidence in. Bournemouth do not and he is meant to be your captain too. A good goalkeeper gets you those extra points you werent expecting. Europa does go to the runners up if we win and get CL btw.

Sorry, but ive had it with Dango. I remember first seeing him at the vitality. He played awful and couldnt get a pass right. He was taken off and the look on his face as he walked past us made me really feel for him. So, ive given him chance after chance, always cheering and willing him on. Even being happy when he performed well as a defender. But lets have it right, he just isnt up to the job, its been proven now he's not up to it. Sunday he was awful, and now hes lost my support, he needs to go. As far as Neto goes, im still not sure why Travers was the fall guy for the Liverpool thrashing, rest of the team failed miserably that day, it wasnt Travers fault he let 9 in, it was the 'teams' fault. I cant begin to imagine what went on in Travers head after that happening AND being discarded
