Was Streeting has declared war today on what he calls the middle-class left-wing members of the Labour Party who want to prevent him from privatising the NHS. That's nonsense. What he's actually saying is he'd rather pander to Rupert Murdoch than stand up for Labour principles.

@@andrewcalladine2507 Nothing about the Tories if these Labour members (Kendall, Reeves, Starmer, Streeting) are all Tories themselves. Yea I know there's others, but these are by far the worst of the bunch in regards to how close they are or even further than the Tories themselves.

If Labour get elected Tories will still be in power. That's what you need to get your head around. No significant changes to austerity Brexit racist immigration policy authoritarianism war mongering aggression infrastructure and inequality will occur under Starmer's Labour Government. It will simply be a continuation of Tory government. @@andrewcalladine2507

Streeting scares me - He language can be very much like the Tories woke splitting language. He has said a number of things about the NHS which indicate that he is quite happy to allow privatisation to continue.

I'm terrified of what he'll do if he becomes health secretary. He doesn't properly understand what the private sector can and cannot do. They aren't safe places to treat many conditions. I worked in one. Pre-op assessment ignored when we said a patient was unsuitable, no HDU or ICU in case of emergency. They don't have their own ambulances so rely on a stretched system which takes hours to arrive (if they are even called in time) one RMO on call 24/7 for a week and if they call a consultant don't think he'll come back in. AND, OF COURSE, THEY EXTRACT PROFIT. Does that sound better for us common folk? Wes Streeting gives me the creeps

Well said Sir. The fact that Microsoft can revoke licences, because a, 'threshold has been reached' so a random Dr, Nurse or HCSW can suddenly be unable to email is, imho criminal. But it happens every day.

Richard, thank you. Another excellent insight. As a, now cured, former tax accountant I have followed your work closely and attended seminars at which you spoke. I am therefore aware of your diligent examination of challenging issues, as this is. Regardless of Mr Streeting's shortcomings and personal goals, of which there appear to be many, does it not bear consideration that he is right in this case? Of course, not completely but there is a 'nugget' to be considered. Even a stopped clock is right once a day, after all. Objectively, the use of the private sector to assist the NHS for a limited and clearly defined period to bring lists down whilst, in parallel and in lock step with a total review and implementation of the true public funding requirements to move the NHS forward fully funded and without reliance on the private sector would be worth consideration? Or am I being naive?

Wes Streeting is yet another politician who is a corporate business agent; these corporate business agents can be purchased by any state, business or wealthy person, in exchange for a lucrative consultancy or a hefty donation to their political party or the expansion of their personal off-shore bank account (Note; Those on minimum wage levels cannot afford to buy their own politician but they can vote for them). All the politician has to do to ensure a steady flow of the filthy lucre is condone their puppet-master's actions and abandon any form of compassion towards their fellow human beings (though the abandonment of compassion is kept solely for the poorest human beings in society).

The NHS is failing, has always failed and will always fail. No 'reforms' will alter this. Why ? Because it is literally collapsing under the wait of metabolic diseases. High blood pressure, Type 2 Diabetes heart attacks, strokes and dementia [now being called Type 3 Diabetes]. This will only get worse all the time people are eating such appalling food. A huge dependence on processed food, massive sugar and trans fats consumption. Ill health follows this diet as surely as day follows night. The 'debate' always revolves around how we pay for healthcare - we never seem to wonder why so many people are sick to begin with.

The NHS desperately needs reform but nothing that involves privitisation. Streeting is a massive helmut and a mouthpiece for the establishment, just witness they way they skewered him over the Cas report, suddenly disowning views about trans he held 5 mins ago. You just get the feeling he's incapable of thinking for himself, or taking decisions for the greater good. People like this shouldn't be anywhere near power and decision making.

The NHS is failing everybody is something we can all agree on. How do we want to fix it? Carry on with the model brought in after WW2? Or find a new way that works for everyone and maintains the founding principles of the NHS, from cradle to grave and free at the point of delivery. Is there a discussion to be had here or not?
