My sympathies that You have to move spaces, but a space is just a space, its the people that make it aomething real, so you'll find a new space and the people will fill it and make it special.

I am so sad that the tea house is moving, but I am so glad it is not closing down. All the staff are amazing people, whom I have come to cherish over that last several months. I hope I can find some way to help during the process. You all deserve so much, because you give so much.

I learned of your tea house from the modern rogue. Many respects to you. When life is making it available for me, I would love to order a tea set and some tea cakes!

I used to drive past the tea house on my daily commute, and it was sheer curiosity that got me to stop in for the first time one day to see what this place I always drove past was all about. I fell in love with tea and tea culture, and the tea house quickly became one of my favorite places in Austin. Thinking back on those memories, the move is definitely going to be sad for me, but I have full faith that the new location, wherever it ends up being, will become just as special. Praying that the move will be as smooth as possible!

So sorry that you have to part with the former 觀音茶館 due to the I-35 project. I'll definitely be joining you and the gang at the new tea house, and possibly help y'all out with the Steeped in Tradition series.

Feel your pain. They’re doing a similar *useless* freeway expansion here in salt Lake too. And Kicking a bunch of low-income people out of their homes. A lot of the PoC. Mr Burns level evil. Shting on people who don’t have the money or time to have a voice. Stoked about the doc!

Sorry to hear about the circumstances of this transition, but hopefully you can find a way through to something better. Selfish idea: If you're game for a huge shift you could move the tea house to the Boston area -- there isn't a proper Chinese tea house in all of New England as far as I can tell, and we need one!

😶‍🌫️That's gotta be so, SO hard, to lose this place that you have put so much love and time and energy into::::: i n just told my roomate yesterday, that i wanted to drive to Texas just to vist you guys and your place and to bring my instuments there in the car, i wanted to bring all of my chinese instuments like my qin and pipa and erhu etc. and hang out for a week and let people play them and drink tea... img what terrible news. Please do not give up:;; this is so terrible, but you are creating a force which so many people are noticing and wanting to become a part of; i live in illinois and i'm in your tea of the month club, and i'm learning tea from your videos, and when i was london a few weeks ago for a guqin conference and we were speaking of tea from our respective countries, i told everyone about you at the roundtable... everyone is rooting for you!!!
