I get the impression that Duran is the kind of player that let's his agent and the people around him get into his head and make him believe he is special and no club should ever make him sit on the bench!?? Don't forget that his agent only has "ONE" client in his portfolio, so obviously the more moves he gets the more money his agent can make for himself in fees etc!! Instead of staying humble and learning from the more experienced players around him, learning everything he possibly can from a world class manager, taking every single opportunity he gets, then I'm quite sure given his age and his extreme potential he honestly could be one hell of a player in the future without doubt!! Durran is a very good player when you look at his goal per minute stats, 1 goal every 110 minutes thats about half as good again as watkins at 1 every 170 minutes for example. Of course this is generally as a sub when teams are tired and whatnot so I know this stat can be a little misleading. He wants minutes and he wont get them at villa so this deal makes sense for villa, west ham are getting a very loose cannon forward tho, if he starts for them I can see at least 2 suspensions next season tho.

A nob head and a journeyman unless he grows up. Purslow and Lange didn't do their due diligence, but we made a profit so no harm done. I am sad to see him go as he is an exciting talented fun young player to watch. But the other side of him isn't so attractive nor helpful to the team as a whole and the lack of loyalty and grace is disappointing. But most importantly clearly there has been a mutual acceptance by both Duran and Emery that (despite efforts by Emery) they are on different pages.

I think we're all disappointed in Duran. He was an MLS nobody when we took him in. Now, he's had some of the best coaching in the world. I feel like his blind arrogance is going to get him run out of this league. He doesn't want to get better, he just wants stardom. The problem is, he aint a star. The dude can't even make it on the field when Columbia is up 6-0 in Copa America. Why is he complaining about us?? He was about to get to see Champions League football.
