Maybe it's because the title challenge is effectively over and I'm emotionally readjusting from what has been an endlessly intense season ... but I've just found myself, watching this video - as a grown man who's the same age as Jurgen - welling up with tears thinking about his imminent departure. Not even Kenny had me this much in love with a Liverpool Football Club person as this slightly loopy German has these past 9 years. I'm not even arsed about how we'll get on on the pitch without him .. how good or indifferent we might be. Couldn't care less about that right now. I just know I'm going to miss the guy's humility and humbleness and massive personality. Most importantly, the joy he brought to us, a huge happiness in our lives. Go well, big fella.

Well said mate. Saw part of Jurgen’s presser this morning and couldn’t watch the whole thing, he’s running on fumes but surely we’ll be in Europe next season. Will miss him so much.

His feeling of exhaustion has definitely had an effect on me. When he said that he can't switch off between games I thought does he not realise we are the exact same? The big difference is that he can affect the team directly while we are left swearing at the walls.

It's been amazing and we may never see a period of success like this again (those points totals, 3 CL finals, etc).. but he has flaws too, and we've seen them clearly recently, for example stubbornly refusing to drop players who are burnt out or just out of form - which cost us top 4 last season by the way - and 'playing the occasion' / being happy with a point at Utd and Eve despite how bad they are, which has arguably cost us the league more than once. Pus, his insistence on playing wingers up front, never buying proper strikers, meaning missing chances is built into the system. However, he got us up there, competing at the very top at home and in Europe, on a budget and against all the odds; more than we could have ever wished for.

Wonder when these lot are gonna get real about Nunez. 11 league goals all season. Same return as Mateta at Palace who also runs loads and causes "chaos" who by the way doesn't get HALF the chances Darwin does. Yet none of them would call for us to sign Mateta and rightly so. So why are we pretending Nunez is good enough?

We have a poor squad, this nonsense of Klopp leaving us in a good position is hilarious. There is no way we will get anywhere near top 4 next year especially after the coming exodus in the summer. People don’t realise just how much Klopp gets out of these players.We have lost our winners like Henderson, Milner, Mane, Bobby. I think we’ll finish 7th next year.

We've become a system team as most teams have become over the last 10 years. In the end that means you just look at results. You win everybody must have played well. You lose everybody must have been crap. It's all become a tactical battle with little surprises. Now we are not winning there's little else to take comfort from games.

Well, sadly Klopp ❤ has gone 😔 (to me) and we have to move on, & I’m excited for the new beginnings. I’m sad to see the lads not “together” and there all mushed up with Klopp going, it’s really messed with there heads. I have to be truthful, I am still a bit angry for him breaking his news in January in the middle of the season, that he was leaving us. The new players over the past couple of seasons failed their first title shot by not turning up while signing from other clubs had shining like Havertz Rice and Trossard for arsenal while the old guard in Foden and kdb have turned up for city. What Rooney said about players thinking about their futures after the klopp announcement feels definitely true right now.

Season is done, but we need to secure top4 still. Let’s not get complacent. Last few weeks it’s looks like some players are saving themselves for the Euros and probably now even more so now that it’s going they unlikely we win the league. If anything, some of these players have shown they are simply not at the level we aspire to be (Nunez most obvious) so hopefully Edwards and co can address that. Hopefully seeing how things have unravelled, some of our deluded fans (including member of TAW) also learn from this and stop spouting nonsense in the future of how things are all good Nunez’s poor finishing just because we were winning at the time

this is the Endo who marked KBD, AN Rodri out of the game KBD throw his hand sin the air and was subbed, Rodri was booked for kicking Endo for the 6 time.. Bringing ENDO on was poor, he should have started. Jones needs a loan to the Championship club, he simply doe snot have it.. Clean sheets win games, and we have a very poor defense and have played the last 4 games with no right back

I do not want Salah anywhere near this squad. I think he is toxic and having a negative effect. We were much better during AFCON and more balanced. We were winning and scoring goals! The forwards were more relaxed and confident. We need energy and not some half hearted attempt at playing football. Just a shame Bradley is not available. He was actually more of a threat than Salah down the right. The Boss needs to stop being too loyal and select players on form/merit. The kids stepped up so why stop playing them? Danns must have some time tomorrow. Really disappointing end to the season but at least go down fighting for the Boss if nothing else.

Slot is going to come in. Edwards and the club hierarchy will make the signings and sales that must be done. He will come in and grab a hold of these lads. If he doesnt. We have linjders and xabi lying in the wings. Were not going anywhere. The club is well run. No point being dismal and upset. We would have been happy with 2nd/3rd before the season. It doesn't matter about a reaction now, this eras over as good as its been. Let's just enjoy the last 4 as much as possible, then there's a few changes needed in thr summer. Alisson, Jota and konate id be open to selling based on injuries....they can't be relied on and it's cost us this season Nunez I'd sell, 18 goals and 13 assists is no mean feet but he's cost us too often.
