Yesterday, we accomplished the extraordinary - we moved patients into our new 316-bed hospital. In doing so, we moved mountains!
Here’s a snapshot of our incredible feat:
⬥ 15+ years in the making
⬥ 2,500+ hours of meticulous planning
⬥ 1,500+ staff, patients, family members, contractors, construction workers, etc. engaged
⬥ 15,000+ hours of construction
⬥ Two-week departmental move period
⬥ 1 patient move-day; nearly 250 patients across 12 units relocated over a 10-hour period - that's one patient moved every two minutes!
⬥ 600 staff members, 40 volunteers and 40 movers working tirelessly to safely transfer patients
⬥ Every moment infused with 100% commitment and compassion by staff, all with the unwavering goal of delivering exemplary care
