In this video I look at this Vevor wet clutch,one way bearing,seal,nuts,gaskets,clutch drum and oil filter kit and give an honest review plus some clutch tips for more low end gearing.
My side by side is a 2008 Hisun 700 but it is near identical to the Yamaha Rhino 660 and 700.
*NOTE-660/700 RHINO WET CLUTCH IS DIFFERENT!!ORDER THE HISUN 500/700 kit

Wet clutch cover gasket if you only need the gasket by itself-amzn.to/44x7uQt
NOTE**- i tried a using Yamaha inner clutch cover ruber seals/gaskets. The smaller one fit “ok” but I would just buy the factory Hisun gasket. As for the larger one the Yamaha rubber gasket DOES NOT fit. I ended up using the small Yamaha rubber seal/gasket and the factory Hisun larger rubber seal.
If I did it again I’d order both Hisun.
The outer 2006 660 Rhino OEM YAMAHA rubber clutch cover seal DOES NOT fit either. Very close but no it won’t.
Hope that helps. :)

@orlandhartley9183 just make sure you buy the 660 Rhino one way bearing right from Yamaha. The aftermarket one way bearings do not work and they tear up your clutch drum and when they fail they destroy your engine. Also in the video I said to just use the Yamaha Clutch cover seal the outter one but it actually does not fit so just buy the one off amazon. I’ll go and update the link in the description of the video. Thanks for watching.

i just wanna say ive rebuilt a hisun 700 and it does differ from yamaha with some random dumb parts. im dealing with the same crap with an odes 400 atv i completely rebuilt the engine with honda parts but they have 2 little parts inside for the shifter that are odes specific which took a while to track down. i have to say i do think its a better unit then the rancher 350 its based off but its a burn bike to me it was sold to me as a parts bike that needed some plastics it turned out to have a completely toast engine. i feel the hisun units are actually better than the rhino because people sell em cheap when they blow an engine.

@buildurtruckurway 91 I think I talked to you about that ODES 400 on FB maybe? You are in Alberta? I keep forgetting who’s who and where they are from. Yes, back in the mid-2000s I almost bought those ODES 400, S, but then at the end of the day I decided they weren’t going to be as reliable as I needed them to be to sell them. It’s too bad because they had all the right ingredients. They were just built with crappy parts. Yeah, they seem to clone about 95% of the stuff and then they do their little one off things. I must say the Hisun is a very close copy to the Rhino. The closest I’ve seen. The problem with these things is he pretty much have to change everything and even then there’s still never gonna be the quality of a Yamaha or a Honda. People will swear up and down all day long that these Chinese units are so great but when you use them in the real world like I do and you fix them for as long as I have you get to know what’s good and what isn’t. I was just about ready to pull the plug on this thing and who knows I may still do that if this wet clutch doesn’t hold up because I don’t want to spend $1200 for all new Yamaha parts plus my clutches are still original HISUN so they would have to be replaced in again. Where does it end? A buddy of mine has one of these in the timing chain just let go. Took out the valves nicked up the piston, another friend back east bought one all in pieces because the timing chain failed on it as well so the question is are the failures because people run them low on oil? Most people never check their oil every day but I do. Especially with these things. I mean they only hold 2 L of oil and I think That the timing chain failures are mostly because people run low on oil. They don’t run them out of oil they just run them low. The timing chain from Yamaha is not very expensive. I could go and buy the chain and throw it on for some extra reassurance, or I could just buy some spare valves and a gasket kit, and when it fails on the trail I rebuild it right then and there. Lol One thing is for sure I’ve learned I’m not really saving a whole pile of money if any at all by fixing up something that’s old. It’s much easier to just go make a payment on a brand new machine go out every time you get days off work and just go in and ride , the most modern machine out there if it breaks down it’s under warranty but usually if you buy a good machine they don’t break down so this will probably be my last used machine and I’ll go back to bying brand new again.

What issues seem to show up first on the Chinese equipment?
@Indeewoods
@Indeewoods Жыл бұрын
@Joshua Moes well on the old Chinese side by sides and Atv’s it was the rubber parts that failed first and bolts would rattle out left right and center. There was very little if any quality control and it was clear that they were designed to fail.

Do you know if the 07 rhino 660 clutches would fit on a 2015 Massimo 700?
@Indeewoods
@Indeewoods Ай бұрын
@huntoutwest6091 the clutch shoes themselves will fit on the Massimo wet clutch housing as far as I know. You can’t use the 660 housing because the splines on the crank are different

@@Indeewoods what about the primary and secondary from a rhino 660 to a Massimo?
@Indeewoods
@Indeewoods Ай бұрын
@huntoutwest6091 I haven’t actually tried it but the secondary should fit. The cam plate for the spline area on the wet clutch drum may be different but you should be able to use a 660 Rhino clutch drum with the 660 clutch. Are you wanting to buy all new Yamaha parts? Or do you have a parts Rhino?

@@Indeewoods I need to replace both the primary and secondary clutches on a 2015 massimo 700. Had inner clutch cover bolt back out and eat up the clutches. Figured why not replace them with Some good used Yamaha rhino clutches.
@Indeewoods
@Indeewoods Ай бұрын
@huntoutwest6091 yes if they are lower hr clutches I say go for it. Just get the Yamaha grease and check the rollers for flat spots. If rollers need replacing get some after market grease less rollers but put the grease in then you will have a very durable clutch set up. Don’t forget the Yamaha one way bearing that is a must. I’d love to experiment with the aftermarket clutches just see how they hold up but mine are still good. And ya when I had my inside cover off to reace the rotted rubber gaskets I red loctited those bolts so they don’t rattle out.
Let's talk about wet clutch setup, adding slugs & the many issues we all have.
