your freaking amazing! i have been learning tons from you and my lights that i do look so damn good, but one thing i did notice was at night when the lights are on I can see scratches from what i did, but thats the only thing that im trying to get perfect right now. great video!

Dude! I've learned so much watching your videos. Really appreciate you sharing your experience and knowledge. I've tried a few different refinishing kits. Have never gotten the results I really wanted. They looked better but always ended up having to periodically redo. I've gotten the P500, P800, P3000 Trizact along with the Chem Guys restoration product and of course the Meguiers headlight sealant. Tried out the process on my daughters Honda Pilot and they turned out great, she was very happy. Recently purchased a 2009 Lexus LX 570. Great shape but the headlights needed help. Considered just replacing but at $500 each for OEM thought I'd try your process. They turned out great but will likely end up replacing as there appears to be "fractures" in the lens on the outside corners but all the surface haziness and scratches/dings came out great! May take another pass on one of the headlights that is worse than the other. I felt like I took my time and the one I ended up doing the 500, 800, 3000 and CG Restoration and went back to the 800 to get some visible scratch. Will likely get another pad because I think the "double stuff" would have produced better results. Either way, they look 100% better, thanks again. Didn't know about the red dot on the headlight sealer either!

1. Are you wearing a regular mask while sanding and polishing then switch to the respirator for spraying the chemical ? 2. Is there any noticable difference or benefit to using this AC Delco vs Milwaukee M12 polisher ?

so since that 3M hard lens plastic polish is discontinued what would u recommend using in place of that? I see you have 4 different ones linked (chemical guys restore, the treatment headlight polish, turtle Wax headlight, 3m perfect it compound) would any of those be used instead?

@DelgadoDetailing yeah it would probably be... But at the same time the other ones do well to... But you are right that would probably be the best combination if the 3M hard lense is out of the question....

would love to see a video where you go a little bit more in depth about how you spray it with the megs coating. are you holding down on the nozzle the entire time or or ya burping it ??? 23:00 it looks like you drench the light but it came out perfect like damnn dude ! i need to see and learn this technique because like i said this spray didnt work for me at all but i believe it is due to me not sanding the light instead i used the vapor trash

It's not listed... It's a cheap throw away my preference you can't really buy them I kind of put them together... They're far better ones on Amazon mini options more permanent options this is something that is my preference not something that quite makes sense..lol It'd be like somebody who likes to drive VW bugs and would rather drive VW bugs than a Lamborghini... Preference not reality so I do not promote it on there...

after seeing a bunch of your videos including the vapor headlights revealed and they looked like shit, i was shocked... i canceled my order for that garbage kit and i ordered 3m sanding's disc, from 400 to 1200 grit, the same orange pad that you use but im just debating on the compound as that 3m one is 100$ too much for some compound, is there any other cheaper alternative that will yield very similar results ? i will be folllowing your exact step by step to do mine once again. i will make a video aswell showing the result, im a mobile mechanic just not that good in body work LOL thanks pal

Hi there. Just a question on pricing jobs. Obviously, if a light is larger than average, I am guessing you will charge accordingly? How about if you get an exotic, expensive car like a Bentley or similar? A lot more care needed as a fuckup will cost megabucks. There is an exotic car dealer near me who is showing interest in getting some of his headlights restored. Scares the crap out of me, the thought of scratching paint on a Maclaren. Insurance is a must in this business? Cheers
@theheadlightrestorationpro
@theheadlightrestorationpro 7 ай бұрын
Well yes not all vehicles cost the same that's why there's no real general pricing structure far as this vehicle is this much that vehicle is this much because they're all potentially different so it's up to your discretion to charge what you're going to charge.. And yes of course how basic the vehicle is and how non-basic the vehicle is far as exotic like you said or high-end makes a huge difference you would be crazy to charge the same price for a 1999 Honda Civic as you would a 2017 Corvette... You would need your head examined..lol Some headlights are $190 bucks some headlights on $1900 bucks and should definitely be charged differently...

What speed do you recommend and does it matter what direction the drill head spins?
@theheadlightrestorationpro
@theheadlightrestorationpro 7 ай бұрын
@brandonbaker2281 please keep in mind that I am a professional and have done literally probably 2,000 lights.. I'm very comfortable with doing this but I use the high speed but I do adjust the feather the trigger on certain areas I slow down considerably.. with that being said far as my recommendations for somebody not used to it would just slow down you'll get to the same place and I'll just take longer and watch the corners and hard hit spots like a ridges or folds or angles....
