Welcome back to WE|Sail, on this weeks episode, we say goodbye to Parlay after one last morning outing to the famed sharks and rays sandbar, then plan on relaxing on the boat for a night, but mother nature has her own plans for us and sends us a playful humpback whale into our anchorage right at sunset!! Excited from the night before we set off early with friends to go see if we can find some whales of our own to swim with, and boy did we have a treat in store for us!! We spent the whole day out in the open ocean and had several different whale interactions!!

I've sailed with VA on occasion in Mexico and French Polynesia. They are a super cool and extremely helpful crew. They came to our rescue in a remote atoll when I needed a part for my water pump. With their friendly, positive attitudes and adventurous spirit they are definitely worth subscribing!

The editing that goes into these episodes does not go unnoticed (Erica… are you listening?) the breathing sounds on the drone shots, all those little things that immerse us in your adventure. Warren, it looks like the boat work won’t happen for another three months. You’ll use more gas than you have all year! Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

On my most recent trip to Maui I, of course, went on a whale watching trip. Hawaii has rules as well, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the whales are curious and social creatures, don't know the rules, and don't always abide by them. While we were not allowed to come close to them, they are allowed to come close to us - if they wanted to. Magnificent creatures!

🐋Absolutely incredible. The whales very large complex frontal lobes are even more activated because they're virtually weightless. The frontal lobes is the center for powerful expressions of love, kindness and joy in evolved mammals. And open-minded science has proven how some dolphin and whales sounds very quickly balance out our brain waves and increase or happy endorphins activity. Thank you for sharing this amazing experience 💗🎯

WoW awesome incredible those whales so magical. Very Peaceful mammals and so beautiful graceful. You both as well as the other's who get to witness and be part of this incredible event should treasure these times. And how amazing is it that these mammals who spend so much time in Antarctica travel thousands of miles to come to these tropical exotix waters. Enjoy as much as you can handle. "Parlay" who are they ???? The whales took away focus on them LOL

Such a fun video! You guys should look at getting something like a Zoom f3 audio recorder and a hydrophone. That would allow you to record the whale songs in very high quality and the 3D it float recording would help bring up the audio when they are farther away.

The vocalizations just kill me. They always have. When I was in high school 50 years ago , in a electronics class, my project was to build an special underwater microphone that would hear the things they were saying that we couldn't hear. No one thought we'd ever understand them. Now, with AI , there's a chance. Projects are underway as we speak. Talking and learning whale language may happen.
