All the members of Shackleton's crew from the 1914 exposition when they returned home in 1916, after the horrors they had endured to survive all joined up to serve in the first world war. Some dying whilst serving. The bravery of Shackleton & all his crew was truly amazing. We could do with a leader of this country who had some of the courage Shackleton did.

Lots of youth around at the weekends in the village pubs and nightclub there and they are generally reasonably well behaved but some of the old locals complain about it. There are some drugs around such as a druggy pub up near the kings road somewhere and one of the church graveyards has drugged up teens at the weekend but they've just having a laugh and aren't serious drug addicts; they think that the neighbours cannot see them through their high windows. The police do nothing about it, they're never there.

I'm right next to the Trent but it's not expensive. It's all to do with the flood records (no flooding in my area for 100 years). But they have that Flood Re Scheme now which is what the insurers use to insure themselves for flood areas like Doncaster for example.
