Fun fact: that reason the can is opened in a bucket is because of all the gas. You open it and release the pressure the juice sprays out and gets the stink everywhere. You need to open it underwater to equalize the pressure

Just to be specific, surströmming is in a pressurised can, which you can see in any video, the can is bulging. The can is believed to be able to explode because of air pressure changes that happen during flying.

It teaches a very important lesson to the folks who have a muffin: when you ride your lover's mouth, be sure to be facing forward with their nose by the mound instead of your backdoor. We can't help what our bodies do in the heat of the moment, but at least it'll more likely prevent the possible infection caused by bile and undigested food from funneling into your cavern if you get climactic flatulence.

Ah man, I had Surströmming once. Friends of ours are biiiiiig Scandinaviophiles (or whatever you'd call that in one word 😋) and brought some along. We followed all the instructions: open the can underwater; WASH the fish in the sink before eating; end even then one of us puked and another one spit his piece into the bushes yelling "HELL NO GET OUT OF MY BODY". 🤣

I force my parents out of their house when they're gonna eat this stuff. A strong, sharp stench most comparable to what you'd find deep in a garbage container would fill the entire house making it uninhabitable. It's very rotten fish, so ofcourse it smells disgusting. Doesn't taste as bad at it smells, though I've never been a fan of it.

@Whang! As a Swede i find this hilarious! Aaaand talking about putting weird stuff in odd orifices.. As a wee teenager i remember being told a particular story about an adult couple in a nearby area i lived in which in this close by area the couple lived and that this couple during the heat of the moment wanted to get extra *spicy* and try something wild so one of them is said to have ran out into the kitchen to grab whatever they could find and returned to the bedroom with a potato. but not any kind of potato because it was the King Edward potato! and decided to apparently plop that bad booooi into the asshole of the other person and which later on this said potato could not later be removed so as the story comes to a semi anticlimactic end it is believed that said couple had to rush to the hospital to get rid of King Edward the first of Anal and have him finally removed. I like to call this "The King Edward Story" :,D

Honestly, foreigners eating surströmming always brings me great sadistic joy. It's like marmite or vegamite. You put A LITTLE on a sandwich. Eating whole fish-fillets of the stuff is for crazy people and/or fish lovers that know what they're getting into.

I've seen GWAR live three times. Some of the best shows I've ever seen, always entertaining. I love leaving the show covered in space semen and blood. The first time I saw them live a guy proposed during their set, and she said 'yes'. It was super sweet.

One time my friend came over and visited after a year of being away. At dinner i started a convo asking about her most awkward sexual encounter. I told her mine was one time i slept with a girl and felt something on her hip and picked at it and then i realized it was a port for insulin because of her diabetes. She said "That was me..." Yep... She never spoke to me again.
