Daphne (Amanda Bynes) dances with Armistead (Ben Scholfield) but it is Ian (Oliver James) on stage who makes her swoon.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Loosely based on the 1958 comedy The Reluctant Debutante starring Sandra Dee, the family-friendly comedy What a Girl Wants features popular Nickelodeon teen star Amanda Bynes in her first feature-starring performance after her debut in Big Fat Liar. She plays teenager Daphne Reynolds, who lives in New York City with her musician mother, Libby (Kelly Preston). After she turns 17, Daphne is undecided about her future, so she takes off by herself to London in search of her father. She immediately meets cute musician Ian (Oliver James) before sneaking in to her father's estate to surprise him. He turns out to be Lord Henry Dashwood (Colin Firth), a fabulously wealthy aristocrat who doesn't even know that she exists. He had met her mother in Morocco and the two were married in a tribal ceremony. Upon their return to England, she left him and went back to the U.S. without ever revealing that she was pregnant. I suppose they're the kind who'll say "The girl has breeding, it's clear to see soon as you look at her", acting like her appearance makes it obvious her father is a lord even if she was raised in America. She had great poise coming down the stairs so that's bound to put her in the right place with the old women, and is a lot less flashy than the would-be stepmother and stepsister

Well one of them is her grandma she’s just happy to have a granddaughter. She approves of anything she does. And the other lady Princess Charlotte was delighted with her instantly the moment she met her. She’s cool with it too.

1:42 her smile is breathtaking. She has gorgeous teeth and she was so exquisite back than. Just adorable, sexy and beautiful. Hair, eyes, face, lips and body were stunning. she was exquisite and then Hollywood hard life got to her just like other beauties born in 1986, like Mischa Barton, for one. She was precious back on the OC and then drugs....surgery....etc...etc...etc...

Yeah sometimes they get caught up in the drug scene after awhile, when they stop making movies. The surgeries get to be to much because they think their looks need improvement but there are some women born in that era that still look like their only in their 20's. I was born in 85 so i'm maybe a year older then her I remember all her movies, she was hilarious. A Great dress designer too. I don't think she needed a bunch of surgery though, she just needed help with some of her addictions, and a better health routine.

I finished fashion design school and I wouldn't even be able to transform that lining into the dress she supposedly made😂 She needed at least someone who can adjust the darts that go at the back of the dress so it can fit as perfectly as it did. And from what I see, she has a princess bodice, you can't really make that without a pattern

This is again one of my fave parts due to it being very fun. I love parties a lot. And Im not always as social, but I try my best. Even this whole scene which I wish that theyd put on where Amanda and the boy or man who played Ian tried to make the dull party very lively. Its ok, I have this movie on dvd that Ive watched a lot in a great way.
