my grandfather used to keep a collection of old oil drums for 2 uses storage of waste oil and soaking of post ends in said oil for up to a year before use , also disliked new style pressure treatment of all wood and prefered oils and good free draining post holes for construction

Understood. We're all in the same boat this time of year, besides, even what you think is your worst video is still top of the line. Regarding pressure treated: "...new good stuff" sawdust from two 18" circular saw cuts had me itching like crazy, all over, in the wee small hours even though I had taken a shower immediately after cleaning up from that very brief, easy project. Learned that lesson the hard way! Unpleasant stuff.
