Yes, your two theories seem correct for your piece from New Works. I relate to the not wanting to be perceived. I have some clothes I do like, but I will rarely wear outside as it will draw attention to myself. Regarding the colour, probably you have already considered this, but it could be that a long sleeved top underneath in a dark green or black could help with how your skin tone reacts to the outfit. I feel you'd definitely have already considered that though. I also think a top underneath could potentially cause bunching, unless it is a thin body. I find it hard to recognise the way you feel the yellow gives you a blueish tone or greyness. I definitely am not as perceptive as you, and yes, I am also looking through the camera lens, but I feel the colour isn't wholly negative. I also believe that the room lighting is a bit of a warmer tone, and that is illuminating your skin here, so it is a little challenging to see colour interactions clearly.

Yeah I think at the end of the day, as much as I love the pattern, I'm just not ready to wear it. I like the idea of layering it with a darker top to feel more comfy. I'll have to try that soon when the weather cools off.

okay i still do not get this undertone with olive skin. I have also olive skin actually kind of similar to your skin tone. so if you are cool how come gold jewelry look so good on you? I prefer gold on my skin too but I am still confused about all this cool olive undertone thing

Yeah i think it has to do with being close to the middle of the spectrum of warm and cool. I lean more cool undertone-wise, but the coolness isn't my main characteristic. I think my contrast/intensity level is more important for me to consider when choosing my color palette. The gold I typically wear isn't a bright and intense yellow gold, it's closer to champagne.
