Jesus taught us…what did Jesus do on the sabbath day ? He was teaching people Jesus was giving sermons on the sabbath day this is how Jesus taught us how to worship god on the sabbath this is how we keep the sabbath of the new covenant the Bible does not at all show the sabbath was taken away or abolished but was changed to a new way of keeping it for it is written “For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭7:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The Bible says the law wasn’t taken away but it was changed to a new way that’s why we see many changes for example Passover was changed in the Old Testament you had to kill a lamb and eat it’s flesh and put the blood on the door frames in the New Testament Jesus changed it by showing us how to keep Passover of the new covenant he changed it to eating bread and wine which represents the lamb blood and flesh also circumcision was changed in the Old Testament in order to be part of gods people you had to be circumcised but in the New Testament circumcision was changed to baptism….baptism is how you become part of gods people even Jesus says he didn’t come to abolish the law so what did he come to do he came to present the new way of the law by first fulfilling the old law then introducing the law of Christ…Jesus himself said if you love me keep my commandments how many commandments is there only 9 ? You recognize all 9 but you take away sabbath ? There is Ten Commandments not 9 when you read exodus 20 verse 8 it says to remember the sabbath why is sabbath the only commandment that god says we have to remember? With that said in 1 Corth 11:25 and Luke 22:20 Jesus told His disciples at the Lord's supper! In the same manner He took the cup after supper saying " This cup is the new COVENANT in My blood, which is shed for you. Jesus is our new covenant if you believe in Him. Who so ever believes in the sacrafice Lamb who took the sins of the world becomes part of Jesus covenant. That is why I can confidently believe that when I die, I will only through the new covenant in Jesus be with Him the Father and Holy Spirit along with all the angels in heaven.
