PTU is turned off because it’s a tank (low pressure, low lvl, temp hi) issue rather than a pump issue…

We have to turn off the PTU to prevent overheating of the PUMP.

Alert come when press below 1450psi and reset when press above 1750 .

hello captain.. At 7:55, does it take into account for FPF only if the spoiler is extended in amber?

spoiler indication in amber is when it is deflected and failed at that position. So if it is in green, meaning it may be working. As long as you see your spoiler is deflected permanently, then you have to take into account the fuel penalty.

FPF has also to be taken in consideration, if the LDG GEAR was downed by gravity. It gives a FPF of 180%. So the decision to alternate must be well planned..

@@victoratlanticaviation So „funny“ that the guys from Ural Airlines just had this exact failure & failed to plan the fuel for alternate properly (ignored the +180%). Tried to reach alternate with LG down & and had to land in a field in a russian „nowhere“
