@@jesusloya7989 M1A1 has its bolt handle on the side, cannot accept drums and fires at ±600 RPM, 1928A can use drums, has a top bolt handle and fires at 700 RPM

Just noticed the sherman at 4:10 also has woden planks on the sides as a form of spaced armour to protect against magnetic mines.

I like that the customization will include sleeveless options as there is footage of soldiers fighting into tank tops and with no jacket because of the tropical jungle heat

@@flyingplatypus7272 no the vest is not an nam era vest. The only thing that was more name like then ww2 was the american that got ambushed that had nothing but a green bandanna on his head. Some had stuff like it or similar idk. Wasn't as known or issued look like in nam. But that's only thing more like nam and its not out of the ordinary, a green cloth tied on head. Not a big unordinary thing in ww2 Pacific

I hope they expand upon the pacific a lot more than just these 3 maps. Hopefully we get to see a thick, mountainous jungle map in Burma or the Philippines.

They are.if you look at the roadmap.it says 3 Pacific maps before the end of 2019.Which implies more will come next year

I'm a little disappointed that for a light tank they didn't decide to use the M3 Stuart. I only say this because while they were rare during the Pacific campaigns the Americans fitted M3s with massive Ronson company flamethrowers. Referring to them as M3 Satan tanks. To my knowledge and I could definitely be wrong I'm not entirely sure that Sherman tanks were ever equipped with flamethrowers but again I could be wrong. Personally I think my favorite thing is the fact that they're bringing back Wake Island. I hope that they also bring in the island of Peleliu. Or maybe something like the Battle of Manila.

ultrajd Shermans did have flame throwers for sure, it has been seen so many times, but yea a m3 Stuart would be cool, a fast light tank. Also they should add some heavy tank like a t29 prototype or something heavy and slow.

The stuart turret is lvt default turret. M24 chaffee is upgrade. So i asume stuart is coming some time. It was more successful in Pacific

ultrajd actually, lets have the Americans have a t30 and for the heavy tank(not heavy technically), we have a Sherman Jumbo and if they re add BEHEMOTHS we have the t28 super heavy gun carrier and for the japanese for light, we have Chi He and for medium, Chi Nu, and for heavy we have Chi Ri(almost a upgraded chi nu) and for BEHEMONTHS O-I super heavy tank

I love this trailer because it truly captures what a Battlefield game feels like. I really want to see a lunge mine used to attack the fuel tank of a flamethrower. I like the part when the American glide bomb approaches Wake Island, the camera showed the V-portion of island.

the helmet the soldier in the beginning is wearing is an accurate helmet as the camo on it is a helmet cover used by the marines up through the vietnam war if i am remembering correctly

A good unfocused war that involved Japan and American would be the battle that happened on the Aleutian islands, Alaska. Basically the only time we fought Japanese boots on American soil.

Ear Hunter I may be optimistic, but I have a feeling the first 3 maps are only the beginning of ch. 5. Then 2 or 3 more pacific maps sometime in early 2020, then Eastern Front in spring-summerish and D-Day, Bastogne-Rhine and Seelow-Berlin to finish it off in the fall, just in time for them to release BC3 or whatever the fuck.

I have a type 99 arisaka with its type 30 bayonet and belt scabbard. I also have a m10 shotgun. Both are from WWII in the pacific

The M1 helmet was generally issued to all American military branches except the Air Force and Navy, not just paratroopers, and the soldiers in the trailer are most likely Marines, the camouflage was common in the Pacific

Sorry if this was posted before but that sherman calliope actually has wood plank armor if you look closely, i don't mean the logs strapped to it however, if you look and the front slop you can see where two of the planks meet.

2:32 that monopod was actually used so that the Japanese can have more accurate shots. Kind of like a sniper. Even thought it was called an Arisaka, he didn’t even make that one. The type 99 was actually made by a guy named Nambu.
