as happy as i am for the dark angels players and the more main line chapters, i just want some of the less popular chapters to get some love, be it an extra model for the salamandesr, white scars or iron hands, as atm they only have 1 chapter specific unit each. im not saying on the same level as what theyre doing for the dark angels or anything, but a single model or slightly altered unit couldnt hurt

For 10th edition, I've been crafting my own successor chapter that I can run as either Dark Angels or Black Templars. You have to pick one when you're making the list, but they can share a lot of the codex units. It all looks like it goes together really nicely.

I can be a bit of a naysayer, but I will say the upgrade sprue for the terminators is a good concept. I think that is something that should be rolled out for every chapter. Including the terminator chest piece is good, but it’s only one which is a disappointment for the death wing terminators. I suppose the primary death wing flavor will be coming from the knights. I’m also a little confused from a lore perspective on the Companions, but the models are awesome with the only real low point being the bog standard mkx power pack

What I find lacking and weird with the upgrade pack is mainly the ravenwing, getting no love, no deathwing apothecarians anymore, and I don’t get what use the hooded helmes are when there are no robed bodies

Space Wolves will be getting a big refresh at the end of this edition with the reveal of a new Russ model.

I'd like to see Wolves be more fully separated like they used to be. Update Grey Hunters, Long Fangs, and Blood Claws to fully replace access to regular/assault Intercessors and maybe some of the ranged units like Desolation marines and Hellblasters. Give Hounds Of Morkai a bespoke kit and fully replace reivers in the army roster. Take away access to some of the more niche Primaris units in favor of having stuff like Thunderwolves and Wolfed. I don't think we'll get all that at once, but it's what I want to happen eventually. Also, I don't think codex compliant chapters really need unique units, since they're more defined by choosing specific units and army archetypes from the existing roster and there's already too much bloat in the marine range as is, but giving them some sweet upgrade sprues like the BT and DA would be nice. Seems like Night Lords are getting that with Kill Team, Cadians have one, so it feels like a good choice.

More ravenwing things in the upgrade sprue would rock because i guess it won't be a stand alone kit now. Bikes have really languished.

I can see some kind of sanguinary priest upgrade or maybe some unique jump pack for a character in a future blood angels upgrade kit similar to this revealed dark angels kit? Thoughts? Or maybe an upgrade for a brutalis librarian dread?! 😜

first time watching your video and loved it, I hope that we get we get a Repulsor version of the Baal Predetor or something to show the black angel in methiston. ps. constructive critisism, the audio was a bit hard to listen to as it felt like more audio was comming from the left than being equal. still loved it

hope the ultramarines will get more ULTRAMARINE themed units instead of just bland stuff i love their roman theme that why.

My big hope is they trade cutting all first born for chapter specific units, even for the codex compliant ones

I can’t really complain about the upgrade sprue since it’s significantly better then the first born and primaris sprues. The ravenwing sprue will probably still be around as well for if you want your dark angels vehicle upgrades

What I felt was sad is that Black Templars really could have used a new unit. As one of the big 4 divergent Chapters, something new would have added new blood to the range as well as the refresh. A new character or a new Veteran unit alongside Sword Brethren would have been great. I think their generic Marshall fell flat in that they designed him to be in contrast to Helbrecht, but he's so visually indistinct, it really felt boring to me. A Marshall in his Sword Brethren artificer armor would have been even better. Hell, even the PEC was a hit and a miss and is largely viewed as the least entertaining model in the update among Black Templars players. As a DA successor player, the new ICC models are gonna be the first thing I grab, maybe the only thing outside of Asmodi, Those are the 2 units I think really incorporate the grimdarkness of the DA the best

Never saw the value in gws "upgrade" sprues even what they sell for killteam, 3d prints nowadays are the same quality and far better looking than what gw put out and cheaper.

(Please don't take the tone of this comment as in any way agressive. I am just quite passionate about the topic.) 1. I personally don't like the fact that they abandoned the old Company Veterans kit (my favourite SM kit) - which was very versatile - and replaced it with an elite sword-only unit that you cannot really take en masse and cannot even convert too much (if you look at the arms - you cannot replace them with ranged weapons options from other kits without loosing the robe sleeves). It seems like I will have to buy a couple of old Company Veterans boxes. 2. It is baffling to me that you show the old BT upgrade sprue and call it inferior, when one can clearly see FIVE torsoes with tabards and loads of weapons for SM (not scouts like the new one). Shoulderpads are hardly worth any attention - they do almost nothing for kitbashing. The real value is in such bits that allow you to really change how the model looks - the weapons, the torsoes/tabards, unique heads etc. Although it is true that the new BT sprue has more non-functional decorations. "You get so much more these days" - I should very much disagree. As you can yourself see, the amount of weapons or decorations that can be used to change my DA tactical squad into something more knightly/grimdark is nonexistant.
