I would say 1 tree it was a sucker that grew out side of trunk and was taken over by dominant stem

That's the same thing that was going on with the limb I caught off right out of the ground at the base of the trunk other trees had originally sprouted so I think it's a completely different tree and a younger one LOL

Hmm the bark really throws me off because it doesnt just look younger but different too. I dont know enough about trees but id say its the same tree if the branches above look similar

Wouldn’t know until you dissected the tree. Technically it wouldn’t be codominent if they didn’t share the same xylem.

@stephendouglassd Unfortunately no, this isn't a removal, just a random tree in a neighborhood that I stopped to film one morning before the leaves were on 😅 I wpukd really like to know what the stump looks like though

Was that tree topped or broken out in the past? It kind of appears like it was. If it was butchered hard at one point I can see it sending out low growth like that. I notice a lot of the limbs and that low one are of similar sizes.. Plus it is V shaped which is often born of less than healthy circimstances.
