Look for progress in rules and developing not imposed laws. Clubs with tribalism will always fight for their place but work on growing competitiveness and moderation so all can profit and ultimately over the long term the big six become a big eight then ten then twenty then forty increase the flow of revenue down and ultimately the drawing power of smaller clubs to become a global brand. Remember 30 years ago Tottenham were in money trouble and could have gone bust. Tottenham have become a top club financially and are heading that way on the pitch.

From a fans perspective,however, profitability is irrelevant as long as the club is sustainable. There would not be many Spurs' fans who would have preferred having the new stadium to us winning the league for several years by spending £1bn on players whilst remaining at White Hart Lane (along as we didn't go bust).Levy's strategy is to increase shareholder value by investing in revenue generating infrastructure+ constantly promising "jam tomorrow" on the pitch and he has been exceptional at this.
