endwalker had so much great music it's insane

I met the love of my life playing FFXIV. I had just told myself a few weeks prior that I was done with dating. If it hadn't worked out with anyone by age thirty-two, it wasn't going to. So I was resolved to find satisfaction playing Final Fantasy XIV until it died or I did. Then boom, there was this girl new to the Discord group and we're getting married three years later. My journey has absolutely been worth it.

My journey’s been awesome. I’ve not regretted making FFXIV my primary mmo for a second - it’s home for me now and I love it. Really nice to see a positive summary of the things you liked :) I’m just so relieved they gave the 10 year saga a fitting end.

Honestly I find pandaemonium SO GOOD : boss designs, MUSIC!!!... (Basically the entire 6.0-6.5 music work is INSANE and some of the best in all gaming, truly)

One of my favorite soundtracks from Endwalker is definitely Old Sharlayan Night Theme "The Nautilus Knoweth." I used to just walk around the entire city and listened to the music until it turned to daytime.

I still cant believe EW lasted 31 months.

I loved the Omicrons and Lopporit tribe stories. Especially Omicrons felt like an after credits epilogue, that tied up and gave more context to some parts from the 6.0 story.

Endwalker really meant a lot to me, it'll always be special to me, between the themes, the characters, and the experiences with people!

As someone stuck on a very very low end laptop, it takes A LOT for an online game to keep me around. and Endwalker has me around 5000 hours XD im trying to upgrade before dawnTrail, here's hoping

My favorite part of EW was Zenos and the conclusion to his story in the MSQ. The fight with him was the highlight. "If my motives met with your approval, would you no longer resent the outcome. If so, then perhaps a beast's skin would suit you better." A poignant jab at all us Emet fans Vritra is my favorite new character.

My journey thru EW was indeed good. The Reaper job alone was well worth the trip.

My journey has been incredible! I didn’t care for story my first time around and I skipped it, but Shadowbringers HOOKED me. So, when I decided I wanted to make a second character, I’d sit through story (the important parts at least) and enjoyed the game all over again.

I'm a solo casual player so Endwalker was really good for me. I happened to really enjoy the Patch MSQ as well. My highlight is definitely the Soundtrack though. So many bangers. I also think Pandaemonium and Myths of the Realm are my favourite Raids and Alliance Raids in the game.

My favorite part of Endwalker was seeing that the Scions got me fast food. If the Last Stand in Old Sharlayan set up shop in San Antonio, you can damn well bet I'll gain 100 pounds and screw my diet. XD

Yes, my journey has been good. Been watching since around 5.3, you convinced me to give the game a try and I made my way thru the entire MSQ in time to play EW alongside the community. I’ll forever be grateful for that because XIV has been my best experience in gaming.

The bunny bot mount from Mare Lamentorum tribe quests is such a good mount. Ultima Thule tribe quests is also my favorite tribe quest series. It has no right being a tribe quest and making me shed tears but it did.

I think they need to change the varient dungeons to a common but unique currency and just keep adding stuff to grind. They wouldn't be as boring because you can go different paths to refresh them. Run solo, or with a group. I think they left a lot on the table with those.

I think part of the complaints with Endwalker had to do with it being the first time that a huge segment of the player base ended up playing the end game content on cycle. When the game rarely obsoletes content (sorry, battlecraft leves and guildhests), and a character is catching up to current content, there’s a ton of content to do should you wish. But after catching up, you realize that the game is built to be enjoyed and not rushed through. Because you rush through stuff, and then you run out of new stuff to do, and get bored. You don’t need to clear savage raids on release day, they’ll stick around. Honestly, the main issue with Endwalker was the Manderville weapons. Gotta have more to the weapons than simply collecting 6000 tomestones per weapon.

Over EW I have slowly transitioned from a bunny GIRL main to a bunny BOY main. They're just... so, SO good.

Adventurer Plates. This was the best feature of Endwalker by far.

V&C dungeons really solved the whole "most efficient path to finish quickly" issue the devs talked about with ARR dungeons. I only wish there were more.

Loved P8S savage when it was part of the current raid tier - White Stone Black kicking in when I reached the 2nd part of that fight was just too sweet. Also, loved hearing ‘Scream’ when the 2nd savage raid tier was relevant. The 2nd part of the Eighth Circle savage just hit a lil harder for me ( ‘Resident Evil’ looking boss, Devil May Cry music blasting in the background, and me and my squad with Final Fantasy movesets). Ishgard Housing - fuck yes. Actually lucked out upgrading from a medium in Goblet to a mansion in Ishgard. Glad about Eureka Orthos. Rly enjoy deep dungeon coming back. Still trying for my 1st solo clear as Drk. Hopefully before xpac releases. PvP - I think Endwalker is the most I’ve enjoyed/qued for this mode going by each xpac….the changes they did for the combat in this mode were giant strides in a good direction imo (now just to wait for them to figure out better ways to que for Rival Wings during active PvP que hours) And ended up liking portraits way more than I thought I would. Those were the main things I liked for Endwalker.

The journey has been great with FFXIV. Just remembering how the game started from beta and the many things that has happened over the years till the conclusion of Endwalker has made me cry with joy. Yoshida-san and crew deserve lots of love praise for what they made. I honestly can't wait to see what's in store for this next adventure! -hefts axe- Cause I'm ready to slay more gods!! ^_^

One thing I think people overlook was how GOOD the armour of EW looked compared to prior expansions; even ShB's armour looked dated in comparison. In retrospect, I am almost certain they were making it with the graphics update in mind, both lessening their workload in updating it and also getting to grips with higher levels of detail in design and texturework. The Abyssos sets really stick out in my mind as designs that everyone was wowed by!

I think my favourite part of endwalker is the savages. Especially P11S! But sage is literally the best healer I played... it made all other healers feel bad

My journey has been worth it by a lot! Not only I met friends that got to meet irl and keep for life but also after now 3 years I am moving in with the love of my life that I got to meet in FFXIV! He makes my whole world worth it! Even at the most desperate times FFXIV showed me that there can be always hope in the end

V&C has been the one of the best content theyve added in a really long time. They to keep expanding it and imo even retro add it to the former expansions so its not locked to EW lvl 90 players

I had so much fun with 6.0 (except that part with Zenos,...) and was so invested and emotionally taken by the end! So yes my journey has been good. And even though I didnt like 6.1-6.5 in MSQ, the Alliance Raids made up for it Surely I havent played as much as I did in Shadowbringers, but my friends and the people I enjoy seeing and meeting all the new people over the years are the reason why I return over and over And my bun girl ... I love my char So now, I cant wait for Dawntrail and all the adventures ahead with my friends and all of you people I havent met yet. *raises her right hand and waves lightly*

The story for me was amazing..I've never had a game cause me to cry my eyes out for hours on end like the Endwalker story did. Was it a 10/10? No..there were a few bits that could of been better but overall it was great. I think the new jobs were a huge boon for the game and will continue to be popular for years to come.

A lot of stuff was shit in endwalker, however the raids were great, both savage and ultimate

Variant dungeons need a roulette or something to incentivize doing them regularly. I kinda just did them initially and got the quicker rewards, and then forgot about them despite liking them a lot.

TLDR; I am one of the few people that really enjoy both variant and criterion dungeons! You prog the first 3 bosses. Your practice run on crit normal for crit savage will get you a mount. Then you do savage which personally feels like completing a semi-ultimate. After that you get the shiny version of your EW tome weapon. I think the first two crit savage should also allow players to earn the exquisite weapons and not just Alo Island Savage. Also you forgot the mention variant mounts, you get Statice (gun fairy) as mount and she carries you around! Variant dungeon I feel is the opposite of Criterion. It has tons of reward (glam, mounts, minions) but quite short lived because of how easy it can be farmed.

Okay but really, I love that duty support has been added to all the dungeons. I’m a father to a 2.5 yo and twin 6 month olds. Life is hectic chaos and I’m way more likely to experience disruptions now than I was pre-kids. I’m really glad I can still play my favorite game on my rare moments of downtime without worrying about disrupting other players’ experiences.

I started playing this year, so to me there is content from all of the expansions to explore. Now that I'm done with the MSQ, there is a pletora of unlock quests, leveling and side content to do. With that said, even though I can imagine how you've been doing all of the content during 10 years and feel like there is nothing exciting to do... I played Ragnarok Online for 10 years and GW2 for 5 years and sometimes I needed a break to do stuff IRL and to play other games; that made my experience coming back so much refreshing and engaging, because I obviously had years of knowledge about the games and their systems, but much had changed during my pauses. I also had new "projects" like building a new character or forging a new equipment when coming back. You sound like you are tired and forcing yourself to say what you "liked", but I didn't really believe in you (not that you are lying, but maybe you really need a break until Dawntrail)...

I was amazed how quick they made me care about Zero

Which one is the best: Shadowbringers or Endwalker?

Best beast tribes, best msq together with shb, best ultimate, coolest melee job with rpr, adventurer plates changed fundamentally how people interact with others, best dungeons with criterion, best sidequest additions, finally a deep dungeon again, best hildie quest, best pvp, better trials than shb because they don't force you to watch a cutscene on ex. It's really just the lack of field operation, rewards in crit and ishgard restoration for me. My journey was fantastic and I can't wait to see more!

Reaper and Sage was pretty good additions too! By far my favourite new job additions too Overall the expansion was fun despite i stop and comeback each patch

I've enjoyed my time. Pays of being super casual and I still have a ton of great content to go over.

Endwalker was a good expansion overall. Yes, Shadowbringer's I'd argue is better, but I enjoyed EndWalker. Love the music from Scream, to Close in the Distance. Beautiful zones. I'd say the good way out weighs the bad in EW.

Endwalker took some time for character development for the scions which I appreciate a lot. The only one who's still a bit boring is ironically the mascot of the game : Y'shtola. Compared to the other scions, there"@ not that much going. They all go through some character arc, dealing with their own shortcomings, deepening their bond with the WoL and one another. Meanwhile Y'shtola's gives some lore dump, makes a witty remark from time to time and that's about it. I really hope something they do something interesting (or anything really) with her character in Dawntrail, because she really needs it.

Started playing when it released on Xbox and just finished Endwalker last week. It was a good expansion but the pacing was my biggest complaint. In the beginning of the expansion, you can feel the pressure of the end of the world. But around halfway/a little after halfway, it slams the brakes until the last handful of quests. After playing through the perfection that is Shadowbringers, I might have been spoiled and expected too much from Endwalker lol.

Adventure plates and portraits are my favorite additions to Endwalker. Portraits are great but only when they don't break though. That's something I hope they fix in Dawntrail :)

Of all the things mentioned here, I agree on everything, except the Myths of the Realm. While it was great in story, gameplay of it was not that interesting. Thaleia was a disappointment, especially the final boss. It was basically a rerun of the mechanics already tackled. I played it few times and didn't really touch it after. Aglaia and Euphrosyne were better, but they don't reach the same level like the NieR- raids, or Stormbloid Alliances. As for Zepla's question: Yes, my journey has been more than good and more than worthwhile. If Hydaelyn could hear me, she'd be so proud.

Overall I think the glams that came out of Endwalker were probably the best set so far IMO. Not that past glams were bad, I just think there were way more hits than misses. But everything else mentioned in the video I 100% agree with!

Trust me, Stalice the fairy will be a Rank 10 Persona in Persona 6. Once we slip Atlus videos of Aloalo Island and that boss fight, they'll say "Screw Pixie, Stalice is the GOAT!" I mean seriously, she is wielding a PISTOL. What of that doesn't scream Persona? XD

End Walker really suffered from Covid imo so i give it a large pass b/c all around i enjoyed it. I will always say Storm Blood is my least favorite expansion.

Hope you still bought the gender locked Vday gear because they unlocked it like 2 patches ago.

DSR was great, TOP was....alright. good enough. Those two ultimates alone gave me hundreds of hours of gametime. The MSQ up to 6.0 was absolutly amazing, I will never forget that scene where Alphinaud and Alisaie sit alone in Garlemald mentally devastated and bonding together. The finale finally gave us all the missing puzzle pieces. The savage raidtiers were also S-Tier. There is not a single bad tier in this expansion if we ignore the tree of shame (cool idea, sadly didnt work). P8S music is one of the best music tracks ever made.

Endwalker gave me the greatest gift in that it made me drop the game as my main mmo in favor of Dragon Quest X and got me to finally give EverQuest an actual fair try. So thank you Endwalker.

I liked FFXIV but I got burnt out on it, and I just couldn't get past the very odd delay in combat actions. I tried, I really did. I subbed, and played from ARR to the end of shadowbringers so no one can say I didn't give it enough time. There were a lot of things that I really liked about it, and some things that weren't so great, but ultimately it was the very bizarre delay in actions that I just couldn't get used to, and always loomed over every thought while I was in combat. Some might think that's petty, but I say if I don't enjoy the way the game plays during combat, and combat is an integral part of the game, how is it petty? I would totally be willing to come back if that ever got fixed, but coming from WoW where your actions don't have delays, and other MMOs too, it just felt bad. The only other complaint I have about FFXIV is when I was trying to learn as a new player, with 0 friends playing the game, I would get flamed for making comparisons to wow for the sake of understanding a mechanic or ability. WoW is the game i've spent the most time playing, so when I try to venture out into something new, of course I am going to try and draw comparisons to it as it's the only game I really know well enough to compare ffxiv to. Something as simple as "so the dark knight is like an anti ret paladin?" would immediately get me flamed and multiple people telling me to go back to wow. It's actually surprising, and much more toxic than any, any, ANY other game i've experienced in regards to just simply asking questions to better understand the game. After my first 2 weeks playing, I decided to not talk to anyone in game ever again because I didn't want to keep having that experience, but that also made the game feel extremely lonely and not fun. So I ended up just leaving because the community wasn't willing to welcome me as a new player who had questions simply because I played wow, and the combat felt off to me.

I think they put so much effort into wrapping everything up with 6.0 MSQ that they ended up dropping the ball on the rest. It happens when you hyperfocus.

To be honest i used to watch Zeplas content till she was over-criticising the Endwalker and complaining on most of her videos about ff14 so that's when i stopped watching her videos about for a year or so. EW is not the best expansion for me but i dint see as many negative things about the gane as Zepla did, so i couldnt agree much to have a constant moan about the game. Im happy you got over it Zepla.

Only story I enjoyed in EW was the garlean and zenos stuff. The rest I really didn't enjoy and was disappointed with. I didn't have the time to do savage so the game felt it had nothing for me to do. I cant say that the journey in this expac was for me which was sad since I loved so much before EW but this one really made it hard for me to want to keep going into dawntrail

Well over a decade playing Final Fantasy 11, tons of friendships formed, some like family, Hardest-to-get weapons in the game in my inventory, 3 YEARS spent getting a couple of them, incredible music, hard-fought battles, and a game I absolutely loved... ... Began betraying it's players. Shutting us out. NOT listening to us, because they became desperate for mobile gaming. Markets begin crashing. They began giving everything we'd worked so hard for, to EVERYONE- as those weapons became totally & utterly worthless. Gameplay began to suffer. All the places of meeting up, and thousands of NPCS began to vanish. It became hard to even find anyone to do any quests, missions, battles with. Then it finally came- X-box was being cut-out of FFXI, and the server populations began evaporating. I spent many long hours, riding my Chocobo I'd raised myself, across the empty plains, and bit-strewn realms, utterly & completely alone. Not one soul in sight the entire time. I've never felt anything like it in my entire life. It was almost like losing someone extremely close to you- but in some ways, much worse- because it was INTENTIONALLY done to people who gave their very all, their loyalty & devotion to for so very long, only to be rejected in the end, and told they never really "loved" you in the first place. Death, Rejection, AND a feeling of TRAITOROUS event, all at the same time. A few managed to move on to FF 14- but it was a NIGHTMARE. Trash. Worthless, compared to what we'd had stolen from us, it appeared doomed to fail. I sword off ALL & ANY MMO'S, for the rest of my life... even though, it SEEMED little sparks of life were waved in front of our eyes, and FF XI was continuing on? It was NEVER coming back in America. I would get back on my own account, only to experience all the above, again. I was finally, utterly, and completely done with the game. It left a hole in my soul- as it did to many. One can still find old posts on here on YT, where people speak of such times- usually music from the game players migrated to, and some old memories would be shared- but it didn't help. The Dead, never return. Many years went by before I began playing another MMO. It's a good game, well, it was until "WOKE" invaded like a virus. Then they began STRIPPING innate character traits from our Toons, all in the name of, "Equality", which then morphed into Equity. Bosmer, (Wood Elves, for the uninformed), had their innate, and historic trait of "STEALH" stripped from them -a core part of Who & What they are- all because crybabies were getting their asses kicked by it. They didn't whine about Bosmer not having the strength that they do.. but then, eventually, that was stripped from them as well... and it began to feed upon itself... All I could say was, "Here we go again". I DID NOT ALLOW MYSELF to get attached to this game, as I did FFXI- I'd learned my lesson- so I was ready to walk away in an instant, if I had to. "Loyalty" is only something GAMERS possess, NOT Creators/Developers, et al. It was arrested a bit, as people began to leave the game in droves, I almost was one of these.. I'd seen that Final Fantasy 14 has changed it's ways, or so it appeared. But the SCARS left behind by their betrayal in FFXI will NEVER heal. Yet, I see in your eyes, Zepla HQ, the very same thing I saw in all those I cared about in FFXI- ALL Of IT. I know that kind of love for a game. And it seems maybe Hironobu Sakaguchi has learned something, if he's honestly listening to his loyal players, and making the necessary changes, and NOT treating you like dirt. I doubt I will ever begin Final Fantasy XIV- I am old now, and it takes much to invest oneself into something so massive, and the players are all much younger now, and have totally different views on life- so I'll probably stay where I am til the end. But you DO provide temptation, Zepla. Even a tiny spark of desire, I once thought impossible to reclaim. And there's a small amount of joy to be found, in seeing the love I once had for a great game, blooming anew in younger generations. I just hope THEY have fully learned their lessons, and will never again do to loyal gamers, what was done to us, in the manner it was applied to all of us. Sorry this was so o long- But watching your reactions to all of this, brought these memories back strongly. I hope all of you invested in FFXIV, have long, happy, and fulfilling adventures, for years & decades to come.

I have always thought this game looked weird and it is because they dont have realistic/filmic depth of field. They should fix that! OVERALL, I agree tho the story is good, but in games with this much emotion connected to it I want more film narrative quality.
