Me to fuhad: NYSC is for students (undergraduate students) after they have completed their 4 or more years in the university, then u go for NYSC for a year (like an internship with 3 weeks `military like training’)

If you want to apply for Nigeria visa (from uk or anywhere else), u just need to submit some documents and get the stamp. But the visa application from Nigeria as a Nigerian to uk or others is hard hard.

Asking for days off is begging. I literally had to bargain with my supervisor to go on the first extended vacation I’ve taken since getting hired 3 years ago. They asked me if I could change my trip dates since they will be out. It’s a family trip, so the bargain becomes shortening the trip so I can still go 😩

Nysc is a year program and we camp for one month basically 3 weeks. And it is compulsory for every nigerian graduate who wishes to work in Nigeria. Yeah we get paid minimum wage from government also.

Getting a visa in Australia is tough but don't be put off by it. What they are referring to when they say "working in the fields", is that to get a 2nd (or 3rd) year working holiday visa extension in Australia, applicants need to do 3 months of work in farming, fishing or construction in a rural area. It's designed to provide assistance to rural areas who struggle to attract workers due to remoteness. Most backpackers obviously would prefer not to do it but there are many stories of people enjoying their time working in great unique places. This rule is changing for British backpackers as of July 1 this year though - they removed the working requirement for visa extensions.
