@@briangak8815 Hawk actively changed, realized what he did was wrong, realized he couldnt just come back like nothing happened, and put in the work to have everyone forgive him. Tory was shit, egged on hawk to break dimitris arm, never apologized for it, tried to at bare minimum permanetly scar Sam, and constantly plays the "well my living conditions" card while actively doing everything she possibly can to make the situation worse. A better comparison would be Robbie who yes I have the same feelings towards him as I do her.

@@ShockByte94 it’s a 16 year old girl working odd jobs to try to take care of her soon to be dying mother you can hardly call that playing the well my living conditions card. If I was under that kind of stress and trauma at 16 I have no idea how I’d cope. And yea it took hawk breaking his best friend since childhood’s arm to finally have the wake up call and see through the conditioning Kreese is subjecting them all to. The characters all follow the same pattern: either they do something so bad the intense feelings of guilt snap them back to reality or Kreese discards them as weak when he no longer finds them useful

@@briangak8815 I feel that's a misrepresentation of Tory in Season 2: Tory was not "a perfectly nice girl that got turned bad by Cobra Kai". Tory was already rude, aggressive and partaking in criminal behavior *before* Cobra Kai and Kreese fully began to influence her. Cobra Kai didn't make her steal that bottle of vodka, for example, Tory did that of her own accord. Did Cobra Kai make her worse? Of course it did, nobody can deny that. But it would also be foolish to deny that Tory already displayed a lot of those nasty, petty, hyper-aggressive attributes *before* she was fully influenced by Cobra Kai.

I agree with another comment that states pretty much all of Tory's problems are of her own doing. She chose to fight Sam at school, she chose to join the arcade fight, she chose to lead the brawl at Larusso’s home, and she chose to participate in Hawk getting his mokawk shaved. But then she wants to cry about her sick mom and taking care of her brother not realizing if anyone chose to call the cops for any of her crimes then no one would take care of her mom and her brother will be in foster care. She's been giving so many chances but always seems to pick the wrong choice. Like how can your run to Amanda and claim you want to be better after you just participated in Hawk's hair cut?

The problem with Tory is that so much of her plight is completely self-inflicted. Her probation, her explulsion, even her work situation are all consequences of *her* actions and the problems that come with them. Like.. Girl, you tried to *kill* Sam. Of course she's not going to be 100% chill with you walking into school like nothing ever happened. Was Sam basically threatening Tory good decorum? Of course not. But you know what? Neither is invading someone's home just because they got back with a boy you're not even dating anymore lol. People forget that was Tory's "motivation" for the home invasion lol.

Tory has never apologized to her even once, she has shown seemingly zero remorse for anything she's done to hurt Sam or the people she cares about, and she's provided no guarantee that the behavior won't repeat. From Sam's perspective, she has zero *actual* reason to trust or forgive Tory. All of the reasons you could provide are philosophical and sentimental in nature, not anything *tangible* which is what a character like Sam requires.

Tory hadn't done anything to Sam and Sam was badmouthing her, staying away from Aisha all because Aisha was friends with Tory, and she never apologized to Tory for accusing her of stealing Amanda's wallet or assaulting Tory. Samantha started all of this and could have prevented everything if she had admitted she was wrong and apologized in the first place, there wouldn't have been perpetual bad blood between Sam and Tory had Sam apologized back then. What we know about Tory is that she has an anger problem and never had any kind of support, but Sam was just an entitled prick that kept poking a bear...now you wanna say Tory's the bad one for holding a grudge and overreacting, which an overreaction is A RESPONSE TO AN ACTION.

Tory went to her mom which was more than u expect with someone with her ego and attitude. That shows character evolution. She never will say sorry to Sam. Did Sam ever tried to say sorry since she was the one always starting the mess? They both won't, atleast directly. Tory atleast took the step to end it, what did Sam do? She and her blind fanboys act like she is the victim till this day. If this brat ever had any resentment of what she did, she would be a 100 yards away from Miguel for life. Her selfish actions basically lead this kid to death almost. Yet she is the one jumping on the first chance to flirt back. That's the difference of these characters. Sam is just the writer's pet so everything she does gets swept under rug as if nothing happened. Same went for her brother. That guy turned the sweetest kid into a villian and suddenly he is on the right side. Give me a break! Daniel has two brats as kids

Cobra Kai has numbers and better athletes, but Miyagi Do and Eagle Fang have the currently more skilled martial artists. And then at the top is literally Miguel, Robby, Eli, and Demetri...none of the other guys can compete with those 4. Tory and Samantha for the girls, Piper and Li haven't been training anywhere near long enough to be on par with Tory or Sam. Kenny learned directly from the best in Cobra Kai, Robby, but he's still small and inexperienced currently.

Idk why of all the shitty things done to each other by CK and MD; going after a solo Hawk is the most cowardice action in the series thus far. KC really can't fight fair It is sad though because that's what it took for Hawk to really reflect on his actions and begin to finally realize the lesson Johnny tried to instill in the first class. He was told to fight back and choose who he wants to be, by changing himself to be better, but there was never anything wrong with him to begin with. In Johnny's mind you're either the bully or the bullied, and Hawk learned that behaviour, but Demetri reminded Hawk that he is more than just those two options.

Actually guys the new season of Cobra Kai is supposed to release in 3 parts not 2. Starts July 18th then October but the finale is supposed to be January. From the last time I looked into it anyway. Even before Hawk was bullying Kenny, ever since Hawk switched sides and betrayed Cobra Kai, the vouched to get revenge on him. The reason why Robby cut Hawk’s hair cuz he kept bullying Kenny and he wouldn’t stop so he gave him what he deserved. Daniel & Johnny wasn’t going to win the tournament to begin with the whole goal for Daniel & Johnny was for them to teach their lessons equally that is where they balance comes from but they couldn’t stay together.

My biggest issue with Tory is that they made her nearly psychotic for 2 seasons. Trying to disfigure Sam or even kill her with spikey brass knuckles or attacking her with weapons in her own home. That’s the sort of thing that we call attempted murder. That was WAY over the top and ruined what sympathy I have for her home life. Tory has a bad home life for sure, but she’s also a bad person. Like, Robby has a bad home life too and while he’s def made some mistakes, he’s not a sociopath like Tory. I don’t like Tory’s redemption arc tbh, I don’t think she deserves it.

I think she was only really psychotic in season 3. Up until the season 2 finale, I thought she was a bad influence on Miguel and a good foil for Sam, but didn't really do anything truly bad. But it's always the finales that made her look completely bad. If they reworked the season 3 finale to a jumping in the park or something as opposed to a literla breaking and entering, I wouldn't have lost as much sympathy

Tory deserved it more than anyone, because Tory was the only person that had no support system at all. When Tory finally did get any support, it was Kreese and that will never end well. When Amanda stepped in to genuinely try to help Tory, it turned Tory's life around. That signals that Tory just needed positive influences in her life and she wouldn't have made the poor choices she made.

Kreese is good. He manipulated Amanda with the biggest bullshit regarding Tori. She has a sick mom and she’s poor. So why is she constantly breaking the law just to hurt Sam and Miguel? Ppl like u still try to act like Robbie purposefully tried to kill Miguel. They were fighting where one stopped, other one didnt being blinded by rage. All he did was kicking him back without realizing where they were at that point. IT WAS A DAMN ACCIDENT. Realize that first. Just because one side got injured, doesnt make the other side evil by default. Tory never had any mentor who could show her right or wrong so she did what was expected from someone like her. She committed crime as she was raised a criminal anyways. How do u defend the poster child of good upbringing for everything she did or her brother? U won't since she is eternal victim for u all. Tory made the first attempt as soon she had one positive mentor as Sam's mom in life. Robbie had Daniel too. Did u ever ask why Daniel or her wife never bothered to teach essons or atleast give a tight slap to both their brats instead to preaching to other kids? Ever seen Sam's mom scolding for what she had done? If Sam had an ounce of regret or character development, she would never go near Miguel again as she basically ended this kid's life yet she didn't even take time to go flirting again. That's the character difference

Sam had a chance to end the rivalry but didn't. The fact that Tory is the one who wants to change is really indicative of why Sam is clowned on in this community. Edit: All the Sam defenders are descending. I think both have done awful things to escalate the rivalry and Tory only took it too far due to bad teachings. As for the Hawk situation, he was bullying a middle schooler... I think Robby and Tory taught him a lesson and you can argue if it was justified. But here, in this moment, she twisted Aisha and Johnny's words.

@@mamaslillele the fact that Tory accidentally pushed her into a table defending herself when Sam grabbed her is still absolutely no excuse for Sam not to apologize at a later point for wrongfully accusing her in the first place. Thats just a shitty thing to do. If someone accused you of stealing a bunch of stuff you didn’t steal then just thought it was cool to never apologize and “just let bygones be bygones” would you be ok with that? As for Tory escalating their rivalry that’s just a pot kettle situation because Sam also escalated it every single chance she got.
