great thank you for the Intel and i loved your comment earlier in this upload " i need to have one " yes a 303 is certainly a firearm that must be used once in your life for the experience, just as well as a muzzle loader. A muzzle loader is something that every firearm user must experience at least once in their lives, to be able to learn and appreciate what went into the the upkeep and use of one, when you do its amazing how the rifle regiments were able to load, prime & fire these glorious tools of our history in such a short period of time & repeat this, even under fire from an opposing side, it is quiet incredible really, well i think so anyway,

if you're looking at a .357 underlever, i can highly recommend the Uberti model 1873. Picked one up at the Northern Shooting Show last year and it is my favourite gun in the collection. Case Hardened with an action trigger job by A&A Gunsmiths in Skegness. Good luck with the application, hope you get them all. I had my full request of 10 approved on my first application 4yrs ago so think you'll be fine :)

Hey Callum, bin off the 308 for a 6.5CM does everything the 308 does, just better. Wish I would have picked up my RPR in 6.5 in retrospect. Just makes going the distance and bucking the wind so so much easier.

I enjoyed watching this. The problem is it doesn't cover the type of gun I'm wanting Sect1 FAC for, and that's high powered air rifles. I'm a pest controller currently using sub 12ft/lb guns, but some of the pests need something a little bit more than sub 12. I need something probably rated around 30 to 35ft/lb hence the Setc1 FAC.

Good choices. Talking about LBR calibres, I was a little surprised but I was given authority for a .357, .44 and 9mm. I will be getting a 9mm Rhino once the gun shops are back open!

How about getting a .22 takedown rifle? I know they are quite popular for hunters that go on like multi day hunting trips. If you wouldn't use it for that, just the takedown aspect of it is seriously cool and quite an engineering feat.

I also wanted to know what’s the difference between a long barrelled pistol and a handgun. Like in terms of performance and stuff if you could answer that. Thank you

Great to see you applying for your FAC again, however I feel you are playing down the biggest challenge you are going to face which is getting your licence back after a revocation / surrender. I speak as someone who has been there and got my certificate back, it took 9 years for me and they dragged there heels in finally issuing the certificate through gritted teeth. Be prepared for a battle with your Fire arms department and good luck

Similar tastes to me on the guns, I can recommend a Henry All Weather for the .357 as an alternative to another Marlin. Guns I’m surprised you didn’t mention are the .22 WMR and 9mm rifle, possibly the new Chiappa CBR. What is the TRMR grenade doing in the background, are you a proper airsoft we now?

Does anyone here have suggestions or info on how to go through this process in Northern Ireland and if there are any clubs? My interests would be mostly historic, as bolt actions and early semi-autos are my favourite but I'm not sure at all on how to go about getting into the hobby and what the specific process is because I know it is probably different in NI.

I have a Finnish M39 in the USA, and it’s absolutely perfect. Can you get that instead of a regular Russian Mosin? Good choice on the Benelli M2. I have one for skeet/trap and it’s really good. Also have a Benelli M4 for home defense!

I'm 19 and live in Scotland, have a semi auto .22 and a few sections 2 shotguns. Absolutely love guns and keen to get more, have my eyes on an accuracy international but not sure if I want to join a club as I've been to a few inductions and there's always a big age gap. I have a huge fascination with WW2 and two rifles I've always loved from it were the PU moisin and the Kar98 K. I already have land for my .22LR to shoot vermin but the land isn't .308 certified (for the AI) if I were to obtain permission on land which was .308 certified would I be able to get one without being in a shooting club? I already hunt and cook all my kills myself and wish to do so with deer too when I move to England. Also with the 'historic firearms' like the moisin would I be able to just get them for my hunting or would I need to join some form of historic shooting competition? Question in relation to section 2 guns (rifles). Its my understanding that up tp 50.bmg is legal in the uk, but you also need to justify it? Is that right? If so, how does anyone justify a 50.bmg when a 308 or 338 will do a similar job?

Been off them about 9 months now and have been planning to apply for an FAC. What are my chances? 36 yo, no criminal record, full member of my local home office club. I mentioned a while back that there should be IPSC style comps which use a muzzle loading revolver and to reload you just swap the cylinder. Is that a thing at all because I’m interested to see what sort of comps you can do with it in the UK.

New applications have all been suspended in Norfolk. I dare say that is the situation nationwide. No FEO will be visiting to inspect a safe or carry out an interview. You'll be in for a long wait.

Hey buddy are you applying for all 18 in one go? I recall my first application where I asked for 7 guns, all with a reason. I got shot down and got limited to 5 guns by my firearms officer. I suppose it’s county specific and I’m in Derbyshire who are generally pretty good compared to other counties I’ve heard stories from. Assume if your going muzzle loader you will need your ‘explosive licence’ for your black powder. I have my EL renew with the s1 and s2.

I applied for my shotgun licence back in November 2019. Have been waiting for nearly four months for the interview date just to be informed ON THE INTERVIEW DATE at 7.00 am the interview is cancelled because of the virus thingy going on. Now I am informed it may be anything between another three months and never before I get the licence. I cannot even call BoJo to intervene because he feels under the weather. Hi mate, am thinking of applying for a sgc as im now 18 and have the funds to get started with it but have been putting off applying due to were i live. Ive heard from a few people that becuase of where i live i wont be granted a sgc. I live in a council estate in leicester, its not the best area but its better than most estates. I suppose my question is can i be refused a sgc due to the reason stated above? Have you heard of people being refused becuase of where they live? P.s. i have no criminal convictions nor does anyone in my household. Any help/info would be appreciated. Cheers

Same here on the Rhino. When all this virus-horror is over I'll be after one, probably in 9mm. But yeah I agree I think they look awesome. I also very much like my LBPs/LBRs to be as light as possible - so they feel closer to real handguns, albeit with some unwanted wire/extra barrel attached, rather than rifles sort of pretending to be handguns (if that makes sense). The Rhino and PPQ are both amazingly light despite the requirements of our laws.

You’re right about us Americans. My reaction to being asked to being asked by the state for a reason to make a purchase would be to say “because f*** you.” Granted I’m also trying to go back to work in Guatemala on a more permanent basis where figuring out how to get my firearms license will be extremely complicated.
