King of New York is a few beats away from being a genuine masterpiece. Primm is correct in the plan being flimsy as h3ll (worse is we don't know what's driving Walken to be so charitable). Also, his love interest/lawyer disappeared in the final third of the movie. Buscemi and Gus Fings were wasted. Also, why were the cops so hard up to catch Frank? Interesting trivia: The Hispanic lawyer/fixer for Frank was almost casted as Jules in Pulp Fiction (he appears in the movie as a bartender).

The movie to me feels like they wanted to make it 3 hours long but were forced to condense half the story so it turned out like it did. I still really like the movie, the style and world of the movie are undeniably badass, just a shame that it didn't reach it's full potential.

I'm dying! "90's hard dancing, shit looks exhausting." You're damn right it was! This is my favorite episode so far! The Bone Thugs inserts are everything! I think the guys twirling when they get shot is very early John Woo who had a big influence on 90's shoot 'em ups/ crime movies. One of my favorite lines fro this movie is "If a nickle bag gets sold in the park, I want IN." This was a really good movie to do, my man! THANKS SO MUCH!!!

I've been waiting for Primm's review of this masterpiece. Really underappreciated. It wasn't a real box-office success but it's definitely a cult classic! (Walken is the secret ingredient in this movie. It's the same recipe for Batman Returns actually: Walken saves the fucking movie!)

He played the character pretty well! On the train with the thugs ( one being HAROLD PERRINEAU Who played Murch from THE BEST MAN) as he says whoooaa! Pulls out the gat, and says" how about that!"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤔🤔

Nah, The Godfather 1 and 2 are classics, American Gangster is a classic, Scarface is a classic, this is more of a forgettable movie. The style was ok, but I mean, the story was so bad and made no actual sense.

What's interesting about this movie, from what I can remember, is that it came out a little before New Jack City but didn't get much of the hype as it. But after NJC came out this movie picked up steam and people were comparing the two. Some think NJC copied from this. Also having Wesley Snipes in both fueled the talking.
