I used to watch, but he has a lot of content and has been around a long time. So it’s totally possible I missed his cult admissions. Over time I just felt him to have to many opinions of tools I disagreed with and I just moved away. I'm not a fan of the man, but I did watch a couple videos prior to making my decision. He has straight up stated how he left the cult many years ago, along with some other things this video got wrong. Admittedly he could be lying, but still... if I can watch 4-5 videos of his and see 4-5 things wrong in this video, it makes me wonder how hard you tried or is this just fodder for the clicks?

Watched him regularly a couple of years back, and his origin story of reshaping his life away from the cult was very interesting. A little ironic that his more recent content of fear-mongering (the coming struggle, single mum bashing etc) makes him appear like a recruiting sergeant for a modern cult. This video though is just pretty flimsy innuendo.

Our comments here really have no actual value except to ourselves. At the time, he was all into his adventure van and dirt bike trips, and much of his content that I was interested in was his wood working. Even he admitted that he was copying his content from another creator. My criticism was on a dirt bike video where I said, "This is not homesteading and leaving the trappings of a consumerism society behind." Sure, it was a harsh comment for him to hear, but it was true, IMHO. He flipped out. I replied back, trying to walk my comment back a bit, but that was it. After that, I replied to a few people on other videos. I don't know if I was asking questions or giving advice, but it was radio silence. I made a comment on a new video, went incognito, and my comment wasn't there. I unsubed and haven't looked back. I hear he kinda went off the "deep end" anyway, not that I know that it's true. His channel had peaked, and he was doing things like burning up cordless drills and calling it a torture test. It's fun to watch, but there isn't any usable content in that other than his sermons he would add to them.

I’ve been watching Cody’s videos for a few years now. He explains several times he left the cult he was born into so that part of this story is patently false. He got bored of just creating homesteading videos so his content changed with his interests. Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do as a content creator and business owner? What’s the problem? If you don’t like the content, don’t watch. As the world has changed so drastically in the last 3 years due to government overreach, medical tyranny, etc., he talks about topics that deal with that and how to survive independent of that paradigm. I find it interesting and enlightening given our current state of the world. It’s not conspiracy theory when it’s been proven true. Just look around and don’t be a sheep.

I used to watch him a lot. After this last home move. Things seem to change about him. I didn't find him as relatable anymore. He started to be open about his political views as well. Even though they are similar to mine. I felt I liked him better when I didn't know. His wife and son were not in his videos often to begin with. Lastly, he started making clickbait titles. That was the real push to move on. I still check in every now and then. I'm not sure when he started his barefoot experience. He makes a point to have full shots of him now. It's just not my cup of tea anymore.

I was a subscriber. They told me to join their “secret” Signal chat called The Fellowship of The Fizz. There’s a guy there who’s a grown toddler called Overton Windex. Disagree with him and he’ll argue with you and threaten to kick you while calling you foul names. Then later warn you if you put anything that they deem is not PG or okay for a 6yo to see. It’s complete hypocrisy and if you don’t bend a knee, like I didn’t, they kick you and call you an idiot. You’re not missing much though, it’s like 5-8 guys all fawning over the window cleaner guy. It’s honestly very sad.

The guy’s alright overall but there are a few problems with him. His temper tantrums when someone is just offering advice, replying and shadow-banning the user in the comments. He’s entitled to his opinions and faith. But he’ll never win people over with this “my way or you’re wrong” attitude will not win people over. It’s another culture I’m not a part of, I find the fella with the dog called ‘Minion’ (can’t remember his name maybe Nate something) easier to watch. I think Cody is right to broadcast his own opinions and culture of masculinity. Me not being a part of a city, not America and poor with no land I’m not his target audience. Banter is fine but he’ll never win people over and his channel may die. I think if I met him in person he’d be more chilled out. I remember this three part video he did of a woman not thanking him for digging her car out of the snow and he seemed genuinely cut up about it. I just wish he still made camping equipment videos that’s how I got into him in the first place.

When they're not I get where he's coming from and I don't think different is a bad thing. idk he's had some takes that I definitely don't agree with, but so does everyone. I respect that he's willing to share what most people would not. He's a conservative and that what you get so I don't really understand why people would go out of there way to hate on him specifically for having common conservative opinions. If you thing you are some sort of political activist, there are much bigger fish to fry than this guy who for the most part seems to spread positivity. Now I haven't seen everything he's said so its possible he has said some hateful stuff that would change my opinion, but as it is I really haven't, so at the end of the day ill continue to occasionally watch his videos.

Used to be subbed to his channel. Thought he was a great guy. But then noticed that his morals were weak. He'd say or do something but if someone in his real life criticized him, he'd _immediately_ back down or backpedal. Then, he'd actually make a video about it! It was ridiculous how often that took place. He'd sometimes make absolutely laughable and ignorant statements in his videos. Usually on subjects he clearly knew nothing about. At one point implying that the increase in cancer rates in America was due to increased use of hand sanitizer. (This was a couple of years before COVID.) I unsubscribed when he said that. (BTW, you can make your own hand sanitizer using 2 parts 91% or 99% Isopropyl alcohol mixed with 1 part Aloe Vera. That's it. No cancer causing ingredients there. Heck, you have individuals who drink liquid Aloe Vera as part of their self-care routine. Perfectly safe.)

I don’t believe Wranglestar is evil. I do think he exaggerates the truth. And, he is definitely full of himself. His ego has inflated in proportion to the growth of his KZfaq channel. He has been honest about blocking folks who dare to disagree with him. Not my cup of tea and I unsubscribed from his channel because he is one of those strict, no wiggle room “my way or the highway” kind of guys. It is very difficult for me to believe the U.S. Forest Service fired anyone because they allowed their son to publicly wear their official hard hat; unless that was simply an excuse to get rid of a troublemaker or malcontent.

I ran into him and his family once at a diner on one of their vacations in Europe, back when Jack was younger. I did not approach them, but was thinking about asking for an autograph, when they were going to leave. Then I heard him: The guy was arrogant and rude. Complaining about everything: The country they was in, the food, the weather, their car, how people looked, dressed and talked. He was going on and on, in a place where most people understood english. Really really rude. And finally he began commenting about me, my work clothes, my beard, anything. His wife and son sat with their backs toward me, but Jack reacted as most kids do, standing up to get a better look. I left my half eaten food, went out to my lorry, took out my phone and unsubscribed from his channel.
