If I get lucky and get a good straight cherry . I may saw it other wise it’s amazing fire wood and no problems getting it sold .

I saw it for customers. I don't care for it myself it cracks and splits too much to try and sell as #1 lumber

cherry logs setting does nothing from my exsperence. the wood tans well if left out in the sun. but as soon as you sand the wood it all goes back to the same look. personally i like to cut it green. I've had better luck in the long run drying it and keeping it flat. like you said cherry is curvy most of the time.. If your lucky you'll have curl or wavy lumber. but that's hard to keep flat..
